Keep reading below to learn more about Vanegas and his passion for music.

At what point in your life did you decide to pursue a career in music?

I decided to put forth all my effort 2019, I was released from prison ending of 2018 after being sentenced to 30 months.

Has your upbringing played a role in shaping who you are and defining your sound today? If so, how?

My upbringing is what gave my music life. Coming from an urban area, you become exposed to many things at a young age. My neighborhood shaped me and my sound.

How would you describe your sound to readers who may not be familiar with you?

My sound Is a musical blend of conscious, trap, and traditional hip hop. I am comfortable trying different styles of music also whatever is best for the song.

What ultimately inspired you to dedicate yourself to a music career?

I believe after going through incarceration, being alone, and having the time to reflect … I realized music is what I loved and wanted to pursue. I read many books on the music business, I learned how to play piano. I was writing songs. I was doing things I loved. That’s when I knew I needed to pursue my passion.

What’s one reason you are passionate about music and what inspires you?

What inspires me is when people from around the world contact me and let me know they found my music online. When fans leave me comments from other countries, expressing love and sending positivity. Those people are what keep me going. I love music because of the ability that one person can touch so many lives. You can make people feel, pain, happiness, sadness, joy. It’s incredible how you change someone’s life with a song.

Do you have any hobbies outside of music? What do you do to stay creative?

I did enjoy boxing and playing handball when I was younger, but because of Music I can’t devote that much time to my hobbies. I do stay active working out, running and exercising. Creativity to me comes from just living my life. Depending on how I am feeling I can listen to a beat and knock out a song if the vibe is right.

Who are some of your main musical influences?

I grew up listening to artists that I believe were authentic in their music. Biggie, Jay Z, Nas, Tupac, Big pun, and Eminem. There were many more also but those were the artist that really influenced me.

What are some of your music career goals for the future?

Being an independent artist has taught me a lot about the music business. I would like to start my own label in the future and invest into other talent that I believe can shape the culture.

Tell us about your latest single “What You Gonna Do.” What is it about?

“What You Gonna Do” is a track I made with a good friend of mine who goes by Nameless. We spoke about our time on the streets and situations we’ve had to overcome to get to this point. Ultimately we had to make a choice in our lives; continuing doing the same thing or elevate and create a better life for our families and ourselves.

What has the response been like to that project?

Fans have given me positive reviews. “What you Gonna Do” Is my second highest streamed song to date. Once this video is released I think it will perform very well on YouTube and digital platforms.

What are some projects you’ve done in the past that you are most proud of and why?

I made a song called “Stars Align” that I didn’t think would do so well only because my producer Ibrahim- Tatlicioglu made me sing on it. I wasn’t comfortable at first but the response we got was so positive I’m ready to sing whenever I need to lol.

What’s next for you? Are you working on any upcoming projects we should be on the lookout for? Include some dates if you have them.

Yes I’m working on releasing a new single called “Pick You Up” and after that I would like to release an EP by fall/winter.

What message do you hope fans take away from your music?

I want fans to know I’m speaking from the heart when I put together a song/project. I’m giving you truth, pain, and inspiration.
