Interview: Seddy Hendrinx talks about ‘Sayless’ EP, future aspirations, and upcoming collaborations

Seddy Hendrinx discusses why he makes music and why it was significant to “voice [his] opinion,” the pandemic, aspiring to own a hospital and get into health care, and more with Remixd Magazine host Tallie Spencer.

Flordia rapper Seddy Hendrinx has been making a name for himself during the pandemic, dropping two projects that really put him on the radar, B.H.D. (Black Hearted Demon)-EP and Sayless.

The rapper has seen much success from his last two projects, the latter featuring high-profile artists like G Herbo, Jack Harlow, Gunna, and A Boogie wit da Hoodie. During an Instagram live interview with @RemixdMag, Seddy said that he was in the process of shooting a video for his and Gunna’s popular track, “RPS & CODEINE,” which appeared on his latest project Sayless. He said that the visual was going to be directed by Spike Jordan, who is known for his work for other well-known visuals such as Gunna’s “Dollaz On My Head,” Meek Mill’s “Litty,” Lil Uzi Vert’s “You Was Right,” and several others.
Other visuals from the project that are already out include the G Herbo and jetsonmade-assisted track “Run It Up,” as well as “Flordia Nights,” and the track featuring A Boogie wit A Hoodie “45.”

During the almost thirty-minute long interview, Seddy Hendirnx opened up about his life before rapping and why he chose the path he did. In 2016, his best friend Johnell was murdered. Seddy set out to pursue music because of his friend’s death, deciding to hope in the booth to tell the “truth.” He revealed that during that time, he never had intentions to be a rapper, but he said that people were disrespectful, and he had to “voice his opinion” through music. After receiving plenty of positive feedback for his music, it became something that he knew he had to do.

Seddy told Remixd Mag that his first song saw a lot of love from his hometown of Jacksonville, FL. The first song he ever posted had 14,000 views in one night. Since then, the Jacksonville-native said that he has received so much support and love, noting that he has been gaining”1,000 followers a day,” in addition to working with many high-profile artists and producers, naming Mike WiLL Made-It as one recent collab.

Seddy Hendrinx remarked on how despite the pandemic, 2020 was remarkable year for him.
He has had the pleasure of working with many talented artists early in his career, being co-signed by Future, and having two phenomenal projects drop in the same year. Seddy explains this is only the start, and just like a house, Seddy is building up his career, “brick by brick.”

When asked what is next for Seddy Hendrinx, the artist said he wants to go into the fashion and entertainment realm. Further, Seddy sees himself venturing into the health care field and one day owning his own hospital.

In the interview with Remixd Magazine, Seddy Hendrinx also discusses samples in his rap music, if he will ever cut his hair, artists he aspires to work with, and some of his favorite tattoos.
