Jorja Smith shares captivating remix of “Come Over” with rapper Oboy

Previously released as a single in October 2020 with Popcaan, UK singer Jorja Smith is now back again with a new twist on her song “Come Over” — this time aided by French rapper Oboy. The track still includes the theme of a complicated tryst between two lovers but this time from the male point-of-view and in a new location: Paris.

The remix is accompanied by an animated visual that follows the lyrics of the song and features neon graphics of a late night cruise through the city and even the characters’ visit to the moon. This is Smith’s third single since her debut project Lost & Found in 2018 and hopefully a glimpse of what is more to come from her this year.

Jack Harlow performs songs from his debut album and more on NPR’s Tiny Desk

To start off this month’s Tiny Desk (Home) concert series, Jack Harlow gave an electrifying performance of some of the hits from his debut album That’s What They All Say. The Kentucky-born emcee started his set with “Rendezvous” which is also the intro track on the album. He then slides effortlessly into the smooth sounding “21C/Delta” and the reminiscent “Funny Seeing You Here.” Next, he gives a sincere rendition of his songs “Same Guy” and “Creme” that switches into “ONCE MAY COMES,” a song from his breakthrough 2020 mixtape Sweet Action. Finally, Harlow had to end his performance with his first #1 hit “What’s Poppin’.”

Harlow’s acoustic and jazz-like execution of some of the best tracks in his catalogue was nothing short of entertaining and the vocal arrangements of his background singers made the 18-minute set that much sweeter. This is the first performance from him this year but certainly not the last as he is set to perform on NBC’s Saturday Night Live March 27th.
