25-year old rapper Doja Cat is known and loved for her entertaining and eccentric videos — and this one is no different. The song has become extremely popular just a year after its release, due in part to the viral silhouette challenge on TikTok that featured the song as background music. Doja Cat gives a nod to the challenge with one of her first scenes of the video being her silhouette in red lighting.
The video plays out the story of her and co-star Kofi Siriboe (Queen Sugar) with whom she leaves enamored after he spots her in the window of a high-end clothing store. Following her through a dark alleyway in torrential downpour and even a huge spiderweb, the theatrics of this video paired with Doja’s star power will leave the audience enthralled.
