How prominent music video director JLShotThat is turning himself into a household name

JLShotThat is making a name for himself; from working with artists Pop Smoke, Fivio Foreign, Young MA, and many more, it is a matter of time before he turns into a household name.

New York native Jeremi Lam, also known as JLShotThat, has been rocking the rap scene with his artistic and out-of-this-world music videos. From the earliest days of his career, helping his homie shoot a campaign for his brand to documenting the Brooklyn Drill scene, he has this special and unique quality when behind the camera. JLShotThat is on his way to becoming a household name all over hip-hop. The videographer is best known for his work with Pop Smoke and Fivio Foreign. But he is sure to catch your attention with his other work with such videos for artists like CHRISSY STAYHIGH, JPAIN & AB, and raper, Crime Rate.


His most notable work thus far includes his visual for Pop Smoke’s track, “Dior.” The video is one of Pop Smokes famous tracks and visuals, garnering over 264 Million views. The song and visual are partly responsible for Pop Smoke’s appeal and iconic sound, securing his title as one of New York’s best artists at the time. The visual opens with a set-up, where it looks like people are plotting to run up on Pop Smoke, but Smoke flips it and pulls up on them, emptying a clip, showcasing a linear story and Smoke’s identity and lifestyle. JLShotThat’s work on Pop Smoke’s “Dior” is positively brilliant.

His style and flair are unique and have made him a “highly requested” videographer in the industry. His influences in media and videography are of no surprise, some of the greats, which resonates in his work. His connections to the craft include Michael Jackson, Quentin Tarantino, Hype Williams, Martin Scorsese, Director X, Spike Lee.


While JLShotThat purpose is videography, and his goal is to build a production enterprise and record label. He has many, many tricks up his sleeve and has begun branching out into the film realm. JLShotThat will be making his feature film debut “in the near future.”
