R&B artist Reina unveils her latest single “At Midnight”

Los Angeles native Reina has hit the scene with her latest single “At Midnight.” A song Reina created over eight months; she is ready to reveal the hard work throughout creating this thoughtful masterpiece of a record. By providing listeners with an organic, soulful R&B sound and her angelic voice to match, Reina is prepared to take the industry by storm with her undeniable talent.

“This is my love,” the artist expressed about her newest single in a recent interview with Remixd Magazine. “I hope for “At Midnight” that people can have fun with the song and vibe to it but also understand the story behind the song about the hardship of wanting a career and having to choose your priorities when it comes to love and work. If you do love me, then you have to be down and know that I care about you, but I am also a woman about my business.”

Reina’s upbringing has played a role in her innate dedication to music and defining her sound. She followed the steps of her grandfather, the legendary Verdine White from the group: Earth Wind and Fire, and her grandmother Shelly Clark White, who sang in the group The Honey Cone. As she began singing professionally at fifteen years old, Reina’s father, Warner Wright, had her recording and songwriting during studio sessions. She grew up in a household full of legendary artists, and Reina decided to hone into her natural talent of creating music that will inspire others.

“I am very honest in my music which is a direct reflection of me as a person,” Reina continued to explain. “Music to me is cultural and symbolic of where I come from and where my family comes from. My upbringing has inspired me to always be authentic through my music and to dedicate myself to serving others through my art.”

The young star has already gained many accomplishments under her belt. She received the opportunity to collaborate with Nipsey Hussle, Yella Beezy, her grandfather Verdine White, My Guy Mars and more. Reina’s single “Head to The Sky” ft. Nipsey Hussle and Verdine White, produced by MyGuyMars and Brody Brown, were awarded a Hollywood Music and Media Award for Best Message Song/Social Impact. Reina plans to use what she learned from these artists to excel in her craft, soaking up the knowledge like a sponge.
“Nipsey Hussle was the first person I had ever collaborated with, and I am forever blessed and honored for my experience with him. After he passed away, my team and I decided to hold on to the song we created and work on it. I knew that it had to be a tribute to Nipsey and that it was meant to inspire others.” Reina said. “The making of this song and the filming of the visual was a spiritual experience with everyone. It was a true blessing to have collaborated on this song with these amazing people, and I am forever grateful.”

As she releases her new single “At Midnight,” the artist portrays a gracious level of authenticity and confidence that fans will undoubtedly enjoy. Reina’s artistry will eventually build her legacy, just as the teachers she grew up watching. Reina learned at a young age that her future was largely dependent on her proactiveness and dedication.

“One reason I am passionate about music is the fact that it allows me to serve others. I have a passion for service and I know that through my art I can do so. I am inspired every day by people who not only do their artistry or work well but also dedicate their work for others.”
