Yung Swerv levels up on “No Feelings”

Yung Swerv has “No Feelings” in his new video, stacking money and holding it down for his block.

Yung Swerv might be the hottest unsigned act out of Chicago right now. Although he has shown his promise with various singles, he knows that he has a lot more to prove. At 19, the young MC already feels the pressure of his peers who are questioning if he will remain solid when the success comes. His newest single “No Feelings” is an all too familiar tale of a young creative experiencing the shift in attitude from the people closest to him. After his support from Adam 22 and his team at No Jumper, he has been on an impeccable run. His ability to create a melody out of any real life situation is amazing.

Unfortunately, Chicago is known for a lot of dark situations. With successful artists like Chief Keef, G Herbo, Polo G, and Lil Durk, Swerv seems to be next in line for the big leagues. His goal is to show a different side of the city without dismissing the true essence of how he grew up. Furthermore, t’s important to note that Swerv is the CEO of Mudd Bruddaz Empire and he is not even legally able to buy a beer. His entrepreneurial mindset and creativity are sure to lead him to the top. Coming off the momentum of the release of his EP Before It’s Too Late, he is yet to take his foot off the gas.

Lor Sosa & Soulja Boy are about to drop “Drake”

Lor Sosa taps Soulja Boy for their forthcoming single,”Drake.”

It looks like Lor Sosa has a huge hit record on the way with Soulja Boy on October 22nd. Frankly, this collaboration was done because the opportunity to work with Soulja Boy was presented to the artist and he took it seriously. Speaking on the song, he shares, “Once I knew it was possible to make the collab happen I got straight to work sourcing a beat. At the same time, I was also given the opportunity to work with producers from Tate Kobang‘s “28” production group.”

He adds, “I had 10 beats and the beat I chose stood out to me. A good fitting beat sticks out to me, it moves me, it inspires me to be a part of it. This one did that for me. I was in my living room with my studio equipment when I chose it. I made the first version of the song “drake” with the intention of presenting it to Soulja Boy. Then I redid the hook once I got his vocals back to make it match his verse. I was able to re-record and mix the record with “Tillie” from QC. Once I heard Soulja Boy and others tell me “this hard,” I knew it was going to make waves.” Preview the snippet via his Instagram here!

Selekta XXX recently held her successful #1800SAFESEXXX Festival at Sunflower Philly (Philadelphia,PA) which featured Jersey club Tik Tok sensation, Cookiee Kawaii and some of the tri-state’s most promising talent including Rocky Snyda, AMH, Beya, SwizzyMack, PRLM CHLD, and more.

The Fresco Mills-hosted event was truly a vibrant experience that brought awareness to mental stimulation and how the energy from our arts can offer a euphoric feeling.

“1800SAFESEXXX Music Festival was everything I imagined it would be! Pure fun, excitement & most of all togetherness in the Philadelphia creativity community.

The purpose was accomplished because there were people who believed in it, they may not have known exactly what the event was about but they were curious enough to want to know, attend and find out about a great thing! I definitely want to give a huge s/o to my team at Lemonade Production Co & affiliates for believing in my crazy ideas lol I love you!” Selekta shares with us.

To celebrate the festival, Selekta XXX’s dropped her new Krispy-produced club single “Sex It Up,” which encourages listeners to be themselves, unapolgetically, and make it look good every step of the way.
