BoogieFrmDa8 flexes in his new visual for” Spend Sum”

Compton’s newest star BoogieFrmDa8 is a name everyone needs to be familiar with immediately. The Compton, California native is only 21 years old, but has the wisdom of an OG. Having grown up with a well-known street figure as his father and his mother a published author, Boogie’s upbringing was the perfect mix of brawn, brain, and discipline. Boogie’s story began on 148th street, on the west side of Compton, becoming a fixture in the Campanella Park neighborhood by 8 years old, taking on the role of lookout, ensuring the older guys on the block were alerted of any potential incoming threats. Although he grew up in the mecca of G-Funk and West-Coast Hip Hop, the music of Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, The Game and Kendrick

Lamar did not heavily influence Boogie.

With roots in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Boogie gravitated towards Plies, Lil Boosie and Lil Durk’s music and his music has subsequently been influenced by the southern acts. In 2018, at 18 years old, he started his rap career by rapping over the instrumental of hit records such as “Uno” by AMB Jayy, on Instagram going viral and earning the moniker “Mr. Takeover Beats.” Currently, in 2021, Boogie has picked up an immense amount of steam by consistently releasing singles featuring the hottest new artists in Los Angeles including “Pullin Skitz” featuring Baby Stone Gorillas, Treyway6k, and fellow Compton act YS.

Today, BoogieFrmDa8 brings us a brand new single titled “Spend Sum”, an energetic, money- making anthem where he emphatically states, “I’m tryna make a thousand hundreds, let ’em keep coming”. In this Sebastian Beltran directed visual Boogie, he is shown in a piano room as he flaunts his impressive jewelry collection. This is the first of many new singles with accompanying visuals that will be released through the end of this year as he looks to go into 2022 recognized as Compton’s next superstar.

What city are you from/ Where are you based now?

I’m from St. Louis Missouri, but I’ve moved 24 times. Quoting Dio, I live in the “city of fallen angels” now. Los Angeles California.

What is your artist Name? How did you get your artist name?

My name is IV and that’s the only name I go by. It’s my lucky number and a symbol of everything complete within itself.

How would you describe your sound to readers who may not be familiar with you?

My sound is alternative contemporary. Smooth vocals, heavy 808’s.

What ultimately inspired you to dedicate yourself to a music career?

I love music, and I always have. It moves me like nothing else. Not love, or money, or acclimations. Just to sing or create music is who I am. Life itself inspires me. I feel like making music is leaving behind a timestamp or a sort of audio diary that I can share with others. People make their own memories and relationships to the music as well so it’s a way to bring everyone together.

Who are some of your main musical influences?

My main musical influences are my nana and my mom. They used to sing to me every day and encourage me to sing and write music. They are the largest influence I’ve ever had on my career and passion.

Tell us the name of the project you are currently promoting? What inspired this project?

My project is called “Get Rich & Cry Trying”. It’s inspired by the mentality of where I am right now. I’m the midwest girl with big city dreams, so it seemed fitting. It’s hard, and it’s a struggle, but I’m making huge strides, and I’m fly asf while I’m doing it. The journey has just begun so it’s some of my favorite songs I’ve made during this process. I’m super excited to share them with everyone.

The date that this project dropped or is set to drop?

The first single is dropping in November! “Stroke” -iv4 ft Jeremih

What is this project about in your own words?

This project is my introduction. However, others interpret it as totally subjective. I’m just letting people know I’m here, I make good music, I work hard, and this is the beginning of something huge.

What’s one of the proudest moments of your music career so far?

I’ve got some insane features coming including Russ, & Tory Lanez. Following “Get Rich & Cry Trying”, is Melanin Monroe.

What message do you hope fans take away from your music and this project?

I hope fans take away a strong message of “anything is possible” from this project. If I can make my dreams happen, so can you. That, and I hope they catch the good ass energy I put into these songs. I got some slow jams in there too, so if y’all make babies to my music, feel free to name them after me.

Tianis Rose is “Moving Too Fast” in her new single, featuring Yung Bleu

“Moving Too Fast” comes off label Social Currency Enterprises album, Full House, as Tianis Rose seizes the spotlight with her track, “Moving Too Fast.”

The ‘First Lady” of Carolina record label, Social Currency Enterprises, Tianis Rose is making a name for herself with her new release, “Moving Too Fast,” off her label’s compilation album, Full House.

The single, “Moving Too Fast,” is full of vitality, as Tianis breathes life into the track, creating a melodic ballad about heartbreak, keeping it real, and so much more. The track, featuring the freshly crowned BET Hip Hop Award winner for Best New Artist, Yung Bleu, pairs up for one hell of a tune, as they get reflective about love, being apart, and being infatuated, as they detail love and independence.

The song comes in at a little over three minutes, detailing the ups and downs of love and the problem of “moving too fast.” As Tianis showcases her range, opening the track with light guitar plucking, serenading her audience with smooth vocals about the good of the relationship, still wishing your ex well, “if I let you leave, please don’t crash.” Then as the beat progresses and becomes heavier, so does Tianis’s heart.

As she “has been doing better” since being on her own, picking up the tempo of the track, rapping, dropping bars, going back and forth with Yung Bleu, exploring the downfall of the relationship. The song leaves you with this feeling of wanting the relationship to last. But also, this independence you gained from being on your own, placing you in an introspective state of mind and not knowing where you stand in the relationship.

Be sure to tap in with Tianis Rose via Instagram @tacobae as she is someone to keep an eye on, as her versatility of sound makes her stand out.
