Simone Telease ‘Do You?’ out now

Oakland songstress Simone Telease is back at it again with the release of her latest project, Love Hard, currently streaming on all platforms.

Sentimental in both its lyrical content and sonic style, “Do you?” produced prod by Pdub The Producer, is the latest offering from Oakland, California singer Simone Telease, taken from her new 7-track album titled ‘Love hard’.

Simone offers up the honeyed track just in time for cuffing season, sumptuously weaving her luxurious vocals into an intricate and refined R&B soundscape allowing for her celestial harmonies to cushion her every word.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the single she explains “This song is a tale of “Bestfriends turned lovers” gone wrong.

When I first began this project, I flew back home to Oakland, California. I was hoping to draw inspiration from this man I was madly in love with. This project was supposed to come from a good place. We were best friends turned lovers, and I just knew he would be my happily ever after.

We literally had been close friends since highschool. He took me to my very first prom, and I had my very first slow dance with him. There was a lot of history there.

A couple months later after I returned back to Atlanta, he ended up ripping my heart to shreds. He ended up completely ghosting me and getting a girlfriend. He didn’t even have the nerve to tell me, I had to find out through social media, and that’s what really broke my heart. So I texted him and told him goodbye forever and that at this point, we cant even be friends anymore.

He responded with “Damn, you don’t even think we could be something in the future?” I really wanted to respond “BOY F*** YOU” but I kept it player and cute instead. But, as much as I hate to say it, I still miss him, and I guess he will always have a special place in my heart.”

Simone discovered her love for music at a very young age. Her parents introduced her to a vast array of songs and albums, so it was not hard for her to fall in love with artists like Amel Larrieux, Brandy, and Amerie.

Fast forward to 23, Simone moved to Atlanta, to pursue her dreams of becoming a household name in the music industry. So far she has received support from voyage LA, and social media influencer, Norman Freeman, who posted a snippet of her single “Dishonest” on instagram. Which led to the song getting thousands of streams overnight.

Simone’s discography so far further proves the range of her songwriting prowess, reminding us that she is a true gem to keep your eye on as one of the most exhilarating newcomers on the scene as her trajectory continues to elevate further with each release.
