Joey Fatts announces QUICCSAND mixtape releasing 3/18

Joey Fatts has just shared his new single “Bright Lights”featuring Allyn and announced his new mixtape Quiccsand, slated for a March 18th release. The smooth record shows the blend of East Coast flows and West Coast production that makes Joey such a unique force in the L.A. music scene. His succinct flow coupled with his earnest lyrics all amount to a record that’s introspective and memorable. Joey’s music is a blueprint for success, and on “Bright Lights”, he drops serious gems about striving towards your goals and staying on your path. The visuals that accompany the single show, Joey at his most comfortable––surrounded by his peers, being intimately involved in his community, and riding horseback on a tame stallion. Joey Fatt’s music is equally inspirational as it is catchy, and on this song, he perfectly balances that dynamic with poise. “Bright Lights” serves as the perfect sampler for Joey’s upcoming mixtape Quiccsand,a project that explores the depths of Joey’s artistry and exhibits his raw talent across all 10 tracks. The mixtape, out 3/18, is a collection of tight flows, exceptional features from Blxst Allyn, and heartfelt lyrics––a perfect addition to Joey’s standout discography.

Joey Fatts has spent the past few years building up his stature not only in music but his clothing venture Cutthroat and his homegrown activism as well. Joey has been feeding his long-standing fanbase consistently the past few years, with the release of his 2019 project Chipper Jones Vol. 4 and his string of releases in 2020, including Still CutthroatOlive Boy, & G Way. Although Joey has stayed primarily active on the mic, his movements outside of music have played a massive role in his life as well. In 2020, after years of successfully operating his brand Cutthroat, he opened up a storefront on E 1st St in Long Beach, an achievement that Joey is supremely proud of. Even though it is a store, it doubles as a community hub for teens in the area to come and congregate, something that Joey designed intentionally. He’s also working to develop a set of group homes that will give kids the tools to succeed, including lessons about financial literacy and using music as a form of therapy. On top of all this, Joey also sponsors a youth football team, appropriately named the Cutthroat Ducks, and even designed the team custom designer jerseys. At 30 years old, Joey Fatts is not only an unmovable force in hip-hop, but also in fashion and his community as well.

David S Gray taps Yung Bleu & Runtown for official remix + video “Talk 2 Me Nice”

Rising singer-songwriter David S. Gray continues to surprise us on his sonic flexibility, returning to 2022 with an assertive, new remix and reimagined music video for his hit single “Talk 2 Me Nice”.

The self-proclaimed “urban-pop artist with a country twist” enlists the help of Alabama-bred rapper Yung Bleu and Nigerian artist Runtown to add a new flavor to the record with a blend of up-tempo vocals and feel good production over a low-key electronic island foundation. The remix’s music video is a continuation of the original single’s video where the new visual offering seemingly drops us back into the summer house party and Yung Bleu is on the guestlist.

“I made this record with an aAfrobeat-Caribbean vibe and immediately could hear Yung Bleu hopping on it. I was out in Atlanta and our managers connected us. He loved it and cut a verse and part of the hook. Then we got the stamp of Nigerian approval when Runtown got into the mix,” explains David S. Gray

New York-born and Mississippi-raised, David S Gray is a small town country boy turned rising R&B/pop star who always knew music was his destiny. Although he grew up on a farm in Mississippi with a family of 10, he had bigger dreams than inheriting the family business. David began making music at a very young age citing early influences of his father James Douglas Gray who played the trumpet at home and made him play on the pots and pans. David is now a multi-instrumentalist, having taught himself to play the piano, drums and guitar.

Over the years, he picked up piano, guitar, and the drums, finding influence from the greats like Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, and Stevie Wonder. At 17, he made the big jump to leave his high school basketball career behind and commit his all to music. He found networking opportunities in Atlanta, where he wrote and recorded music with fellow writers and producers in the industry. He also secured opportunities for himself as a hip-hop dancer and instructor, making him a triple threat.

After moving to Atlanta full time, David found himself broke and homeless while grinding to make his dream a reality. David discussed his knack for networking and eventually pulled himself up, soon finding the heart of his sound in a rich blend of country, pop, and R&B.. During the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020, David decided to release his debut single “Found Love” as a way to use his music to motivate and inspire others through dark times. David has since carved out his own lane and is gearing up for the release of his debut project this Spring 2022.
