Watch OMGitsBEEZY’s deep “Repentance,” music video

North Carolina artist OMGitsBEEZY is coming to terms with his past in the video for his latest introspective single.

Acknowledging both his strength and shortcomings, OMGitsBEEZY powers up over production from MurphyKid and Bixtel on his “Repentance” anthem.

Taking a deep dive into a near-death experience in 2018 when OMGitsBEEZY, whose real name is Nicholas Murphy, was shot down in Raleigh, “Repentance” captures the icons+Giants signee recounting his thoughts the moment a bullet meant to kill him left him temporarily paralyzed instead.

The official video for the harrowing release, which is directed by Fatin “10” Horton and Woosy, also opts for a twisted and suspenseful plot capturing OMGitsBEEZY in the midst of an eery out-of-body experience as he watches his own life play out like a reality show.

OMGitsBEEZY keeps it real and even makes peace with his shooter in his verses on “Repentance” all while acknowledging his part in all of the violence.

“I can’t be mad because someone caught me slippin/I can’t be mad because a young nigga shot me/Cause I would’ve did it too if I was in his position/I can’t act like I ain’t been on a mission/I can’t forget bout the way I was living,” OMGitsBEEZY raps.

The release of “Repentance” initiates the start of OMGitsBEEZY’s 2022 campaign, which was already organically catapulted by the momentum he built up with his 2021 The Leaks, Vol. 2 album — the follow-up to his 2018 album of the same name.

Since he began producing his own music young at 12-years-old, OMGitsBEEZY has focused on elevating his craft through a years-long process that came to a head upon the release of his breakout 2019 Boyz N The Hood project.

OMGitsBEEZY recently joined the independent record label icons + Giants, which is also home to multi-platinum artist-producer Dubba-AA, who is rolling out his artist project following his hit-making placements with rappers such as NBA YoungBoy, Lil Uzi Vert and more.

Launched in 2021, icons + Giants is an exclusive joint venture partnership with ADA Worldwide, the independent label and artist services arm of Warner Music Group. The diverse outfit was founded by Grammy-nominated songwriter, producer, entrepreneur, and artist manager, Billy Mann, in conjunction with A&R executive and artist manager, Benton James.

Yadda Man & Y Beezy take life’s “Hard Knocks,” on the chin in new video

Yadda Man

Blue Collar Gang rapper Yadda Man is giving his listeners the experience of a day in the life with his new Kerrigan-directed music video.

Reaching back into 2021 and revisiting his breakout JiMMY project, Yadda Man recruits his frequent collaborator, artist-producer Y-Beezy, for his Cali Dreamin’ “Hard Knocks” music video.

Following along with Yadda Man’s delirious low-rider adventures in the City of Angles, “Hard Knock” is all about, “Getting off your ass, and making things happen,” according to Yadda himself. As Yadda Man and Y-Beezy cruize the city in a pair of clean old schools, the Midwest lyricist cycles through his bag of bars to deliver two of his most captivating verses in recent memory.

“Solo/Gotta go and get the money dolo/Niggas in the way, way way,” Yadda Man raps over the whimsical production from Y-Beezy.

Yadda Man’s evolution as an artist is on full display throughout his JiMMy album. The project serves as a litmus test for his resilience, with tracks such as “The Basement” confronting the dark place he was in a year prior to the project while “Hard Knocks,” which quickly became a beacon call for the electric vibes on the project, exudes a confident persistence.

Since gaining considerable traction following the release of his Cream project in 2020, Yadda Man has remained focused on channeling his energy into becoming the best artist possible. As a result, he’s earned co-signs from Hip Hop heavyweights such as JID, Stalley, Reason, Slim Jimmy and Kato the Producer.

Yadda Man has also opened for countless artists such as Waka Flocka, Dizzy Wright, Bones Thugs N Harmony, and Afro Man, among others.
