Arcadia The Delinquent impresses with new EP “Burnout Circus”

[Via @yourlocaliceman on Instagram]

Meet Arcadia The Delinquent, an upcoming rapper/sound engineer from Atlanta, Georgia who is coming off the release of his new 4-track-EP titled “Burnout Circus”. The project is short in length but displays Arcadia’s versatility as an artist from top to bottom. My favorite track on the project is “Blue Jeans”, which is more laid back compared to the rest of the EP and reminds me of the early days of BONES. 2022 has been a crazy year for music all around, with the rise of artists like Yeat, Iayze, Summrs and countless others. The foundation has been laid for Arcadia to take over.

Spinabenz releases new visuals for “Country Gospel Drill Song”

Spinabenz, the Jacksonville, Florida rapper featured on the viral hit “Who I Smoke”, has just released his new project The Tornado Kidd and visuals for “Country Gospel Drill Song”. Across 20-tracks, Spinabenz delivers a project that exhibits the full-fledged force of his artistic arsenal. From slick, crooning tracks, to exhilarating Jacksonville-style cuts, and introspective & melody-driven offerings, Spinabenz displays he can truly do it all. On the heartfelt track “I Need A Therapist”, Spinabenz reflects on his demons & deep reflections accompanied by a smooth guitar & gliding keys. “Why I Did That” is a bold, cut-throat track that perfectly presents Spinabenz’s natural bravado and ability to craft music that is equally riveting as it is catchy.

“Country Gospel Drill Song” is a track like no other, combining all the diverse sonic nuances of the Florida music scene seamlessly. On the song, Spinabenz channels his inner Keith Urban over a punchy, upbeat instrumental primed for a lit party or late-night drive in your Ford F-150. The rural visuals for the track show Spinabenz in a barn draped in full denim, kickin’ up dust with a line dancing cohort, and riding around in a lifted, American flag wrapped pickup truck. In a little under 37 minutes, The Tornado Kidd proves through energizing lyrics, memorable hooks & dynamic flows that Spinabenz is much more than a viral moment & that he is a forerunner in the standout Jacksonville hip-hop scene.

Spinabenz exploded onto the scene with the mega-hit “Who I Smoke” with Yungeen AceWhoppa Wit Da Choppa, & FastMoney Goon which is sitting at over 100m streams across platforms. The Vanessa Carlton-sample flip plus the preppy visuals showing all parties involved playing golf at a country club & sporting Polo shirts, lit cigars, freshly-ironed khakis, & matching visors set the internet ablaze in March of 2021. Spinabenz had already broken out onto the scene before with his “BeatBox” Remix in January of 2021 which garnered over 12m streams across platforms. Leading up to the release of The Tornado Kidd, Spinabenz released the singles “Big A$$ Choppa” and “Murder Talk Pt. 3”, with the two tracks serving as an impressive sampler for the project. After a string of impressive singles, a viral record, & a captivating sound, Spinabenz is ready to take over.

Splashwoe is heating up with his new album “20NINETEEN”

[Via @splashwoe on Instagram]

The majority of the underground music community has picked up on Splashwoe in the last couple of weeks since the release of his 15-track-project titled “20NINETEEN”. The project is a collection of work from 2019, and includes features from White John and Yeat. Splashwoe isn’t new to the scene, he has been putting in work for years and initially popped on my radar following the release of his music video “Ching Ching” which dropped just over 4 years ago on Elevator Magazine’s YouTube channel. I have no doubt with the trajectory Splashwoe is on that he will one day be one of the biggest names in the underground rap scene. Check out “20NINETEEN” below, and keep up with the kid!

Sag is a producer whose brilliant mind makes him a rare breed in the industry

[Via @beatsbysag on Instagram]

Sag started out as just a business student at Seton Hall University in NJ. He started making beats as a hobby and after a few short years, he realized he could get his racks up, and even help pay for his schooling with it. What separates him from other producers is that he’s all business. He has both creative and corporate skills which are helping him market his music, as well as continuing to pursue his degree, all while working at a Fortune 500 company.

Sag is sonically unique, but there’s something so familiar about his music. He’s big into sampling and has been known to use nostalgia while creating. Growing up a major fan of pop, he’s used sounds like *NSYNC and Christina Aguilera and flipped them into a sample. Using nostalgic marketing is another brilliant move used by Sag.

He’s a huge fan of Drakes production, especially the work done by 40 and OZ.

“There’s a certain nostalgic feel to those beats, and that’s something I also want people to feel when they hear my records.”
