Cory J tries To “Play It Cool” in latest visual

Cory J is back with his highly-anticipated visual “Play It Cool,” which is out now on YouTube. The melodic track reminds us that

“This song is about that one shorty you got and everyone wants what y’all have,” Cory J says in a recent interview. “The homegirls wish they had it. Haters hating but, its no need to ‘play it cool’ you still better ‘act up.'”

Cory J of West Oakland, California, continues his outstanding run of songs with “Play It Cool,” with the new buttery visual.

Cory examines being in an almost poisonous relationship when two loves are completely and entirely focused on one another without interruptions, although he is aware that there are distractions.

The music is somberly enticing, the percussion are just so, his gently vocals lie passionately on top of the music, and it all adds up to a well-knit all-around tune to drive to late at night or light candles to on a night in.

Start the night off with this one and check out the new visual below.

J. Fitts mixes the street with soul in single “Letter To Fitts”

Rising Maryland singer J. Fitts has been making a statement lately with his distinct “R&T” mash up which blends the soulful elements of R&B and trap music to curate authentic sounding music which speaks on the trenches. “Letter To Fitts” his his latest efforts that capture this amazing new sound.

Smooth and gangster, it’s a bit of authenticity to this as it’s like a mix of classic mid 2000s soulful R&B of the likes of Jahiem and Anthony Hamilton that blends with modern flair of a hip hop entourage such as 4PF.

He also PartyNextDoor and The Weeknd because the darker content juxtaposes well with his angelic vocals. For his songwriting it’s a mixture of Chris Brown and Babyface so every track he makes comes from the place of pure transparency.

Co-signs from NBA star Kyrie Irving, singer Kehlani, the legendary Ginuwine, and more put the budding crooner in a good spot to blossom into the next big act out of the area.

J. Fitts is a very talented artist out of the DMV who needs more attention and “Letter To Fitts” might be the one for it. This offering previews a potential EP drop coming up in the near future.

Zoe Deuce Papi reminds us to stay focused with solid new track “Good Fellaz Musik 2”

Promising North Miami bred emcee and upcoming LA based rapper Zoe Deuce Papi is reflective and assertive in his latest offering, “Good Fellaz MuZik 2.”

The mid-tempo record boasts blemishes of Zoe in his braggadocio element brandishing himself as a figure that beat the odds and emerged successful, while still taking accountability of his eventful past.

“Zoe Papi you can catch me in the latest fragrance, Valentino’s on my feet stepping like a true king, in and out of traffic with a bad b***h from Miami, sipping Moët rolling up some Za from Cali, stay down till you come up and we got it right, b****es fronting on me got em’ figured twice, sacrificed a lot just to live this life” he raps in an emotionally transcending chorus that is recited on a semi-melancholic instrumental sparkling with sampled vocal chops, groovy drum patterns, adequate bass and glistening hi-hats.

“Overall the song is sort of motivational and a vibe of me speaking about a couple hardships and how staying down till you come up will always get you where you want to be” he told Remixd Mag of the inspiration behind the unhinged track.

“The song could relate to anyone who’ve struggled and still stood tall thru the trials and tribulations of life and is now reaping the Benefits of standing tall and staying true.” He continued.

For his latest offering, Zoe does not shy away from giving account of a tumultuous come-up. He is vulnerable, grateful, and light-hearted as he shares his own stories that reflect pain, victory, and hard work. Zoe manages to keep listeners engaged with different references such as “f***ing real sisters before Future made a hood classic” – among his thoughtful song-writing dexterity that features solid repetition, intentional name-dropping of relatable brands, and accompanying different techniques that embolden him to being a certified writer, rapper, and performer.

“Good Fellaz MuZik 2” is also a sequel to the first version that is in his earlier dropped LP, Zoetry, that was dropped in early January 2022.

Classifying his sound as “motivational soul trap rap that you can ride around late night cruising to catch a vibe”, “Good Fellaz MuZik 2” is a classic example of this description as it depicts the gaudy side to Zoe’s music but still packs bags of substance that is equipped to have you enjoy it, but still zone out into introspection and deep thought.
