Upcoming artist SMYNBIGGS impresses with new single “LALA”

[Via @smynbiggs on Instagram]

SMYNBIGGS is one of the most exciting artists to follow right now. His new single “LALA” is taking over the internet by storm with its high quality sound and music video. This song and video are unlike anything else coming out at the moment, the beat of the song reminds me of some indie style music, and is complimented by BIGGS’ charismatic delivery creating a very unique sound. Once I heard the song, I instantly became a fan of him. Without a doubt SMYNBIGGS is in a league of his own, and the future is looking bright for him and for the rest of Toledo, Ohio. Keep up with the kid, and make sure you check out his new music video “LALA” below.

Snoh Aalegra had the crowd like “Woah” at Los Angeles’ YouTube Theater

Snoh Aalegra performed two nights in Los Angeles at the packed out YouTube Theater for her “Ugh, These Temporary Highs” tour June 5th and 6th. The Grammy-award nominated singer/songwriter had the crowd grooving, swaying, and singing at the top of their lungs to hits from her sophomore album Ugh, Those Feels Again, as well as her 2021 album Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies for 70 minutes straight. She gracefully approaches the stage as she opens up with “Situationship” to get the night started.

Dripped in white with a glittery bralette and matching high-waisted biker shorts topped off with a vinyl jacket and matching vinyl chaps designed by L.O.C.A., bedazzled gloves, vintage green Nike Dunks, and her signature slick-back high ponytail, Snoh was grooving throughout the stage to her songs with her band playing in the background with different colored lighting, and a smoke machine keeping the set vibey and sultry.

Snoh Aalegra’s music is a mix of R&B and soul. She periodically disclaims throughout the show she’s going to be “a sad girl” or in “my feels”, as she performs songs such as “Lost You”, “We Don’t Have to Talk About It”, “Dying 4 Your Love”, “Tangerine Dream”, and “Love Like That”. She shows off her vocal ability throughout the show, but in particular while performing “Toronto” as she lays herself to the ground and holds her tune as the crowd goes wild. Snoh Aalegra had the crowd in dance mode with songs such as “In Your Eyes”, “Woah”, as well as the two tracks with Tyler, the Creator “Neon Peach”, and “In the Moment”.

Snoh Aalegra seemingly dedicates her next song to someone special but instead insists, “I want to dedicate this next song to a few people. No, not to you. You don’t want this one dedicated to you … it’s to all the f boys out there” prior to performing “Nothing to Me”. Snoh Aalegra then gives a backstory to the upbringing of her being Iranian, raised in Sweden, and moving to Los Angeles (which she now calls home) 8 years ago to pursue her dreams. “I encourage anyone who has a dream or vision to go for that s—. Here’s a letter to my younger self”, setting the tone for her song “Violet Skies”as she receives a bouquet of flowers from a fan.

She thanks Los Angeles for coming out and sharing their energy with her as she exits the stage, leaving her fans wanting more. The crowd chants “We want Snoh” as her band encourages them to go louder, and the crowd hold their cell phone flashlights in the air to encourage the songstress to come back out to perform more songs. Snoh Aalegra appears back on stage with a 10 person choir dressed in black to accompany her as they performed, “Find Someone Like You”, and “I want You Around”, which she brought out 6lack to rap his verse on the song as well. As she closes out her show, she thanks 6lack, her choir, and her band, as well as Los Angeles for coming out.

Couples, girl friends, and some celebrities with the likes of Keith Powers, Karrueche, Sarunas A. Jackson, and Elaine Welteroth were in attendance to watch Snoh serenade the crowd.

Opening for Snoh were fellow ARTium Recordings roster mates Ogi and Fana Hue, as well as Shaun Ross.
