Internet sensation Langston Higgins turned rap hitmaker LAHiggz releases new EP ‘Last Min’

Langston Higgins ruled the internet in the early 2010’s with his viral dance videos and music from being part of the popular “Jerk” dance group “The Ranger$.” From taking over the LA music scene with “Jerk music” at one point in time, it’s no question that Langston Higgins was part of a movement that practically consumed a generation and shifted the culture. Now, releasing music under the moniker LAHiggz, he’s making his return with a new EP called ‘Last Min,’ which is out now and showcases his rap skills in a new light.

Higgins at the early age of 16, got his first look into stardom and knew he was destined for a fulfilling career in music. Staying true to his creative roots, LAHiggz (who came up with his artist name by combining initials of his full name Langston Alexander Higgins) is expanding his solo career as an artist and is making waves in the music industry. For the last few years, he’s taken his music career seriously – steadily dropping a mix of singles, music videos, and EPs as an independent artist. Most recently, did a remix to K8do’s viral song Go off, which currently has over 500,000 streams across streaming platforms.

His latest release ‘Last Min,’ is a four-track EP where LAHiggz turns all the way up. Stemming off the verbiage “last min,” (short for last minute) meaning “perfect timing or clutch,” Higgins credits his life experiences as a huge influence for this EP.

“Literally it’s something I put together at the last minute. This project is about life experiences and how I decide to keep going, regardless of what life throws at you,” he said. “In this EP, I’m talking about my past, future and the present.”

Transitioning from dancing to singing and inspiring many, LAHiggz has made a profound impression on the internet while sustaining a loyal fan base across social media. Born and raised in Los Angeles, it is no mystery where he gets his unique blend of harmonic R&B and melodic rap from.

“The message I want the fans to take away from this is to never give up on your dreams,” he says. “I’m not going anywhere, still here 10 years later. Just keep grinding, with faith and belief in yourself. No matter what.”

His leading single “No More L’s” speaks to his fans who may be struggling in silence, Higgins uses his voice to continue to inspire the youth and help his listeners see the “bigger picture.”

As far as his music career goals for the future, the sky’s the limit – LAHiggz plans to take it all the way.

“I want song placement in TV shows, movies, commercials, etc,” LA Higgz says. “I would love to go on a worldwide tour to experience the different energies outside the states … Build relationships and collaborate with big producers and established artists that genuinely want to see me win and believe I will succeed.”

LAHiggz is setting the tone for what audiences can expect from him next. Be on the lookout for what he has dropping next, including some new music videos coming soon. In the meantime, stream his project ‘Last Min’ out now.

Interview: Mr. KBandz talks new project, working with Ray J, Cash Money AP, and more

If there’s one word to describe Mr. KBandz, it’s focused. Every aspect of him paints the picture of a man on a mission.  Mr. KBandz spoke with RemixdMag to discuss his new project, his manager in the background preparing for a busy week, I couldn’t help but to see his vision.

Born and raised in New York, KBandz musical journey began in high school when he moved to Los Angeles. Refusing to allow his creativity to be defined by history or location, KBandz began to combine the sound of his new home with R&B chords and melodies.

“I started making music but I never released anything … I was just playing around doing s–t on garage band just for fun you know. When I turned 16 I felt like I should take it seriously, I should really do this s–t you feel me,” KBandz said.

“I came up with a song called ‘No Love’ and everybody in my school was playing that song,” he continued. “I got like 200,000 views and it spread around southern LA. I kind of got my stamp of approval on my name from there.”

He began gaining notoriety in the music industry for his singles “Like Me” and “GT Freestyle” in 2019 and 2020, earning him a place as a trendsetter in the West Coast RnBass sonic.

“I found this producer named Paupa Got Beats, shout out Paupa Got Beats – that’s my boy now, we locked in and talk all the time. Back then he ain’t know who the f–k I was,” he said. “He was like, ‘Who is this kid?’ you know I’m saying. I was making songs on his beats…. He really gave me that sound that I guess he called the RnBass.”

His new project, KBeezy, is the result of the relentless pursuit of the sonic experiment he began when he first moved to Los Angeles. The 12-song album blends West Coast RnBass with trap, classic R&B, and a little something that defies classification. The project gets support from featured artists Heembeezy, ARTE, Almighty Zay, JayDaDarkskin, Khi Lee, IamLILCREEDTAVO, and Deric as well as production from platinum producer Cash Money AP, Indianapolis Colt’s cornerback Chris Wilcox aka SuperCFlash, XC4, Paupa Got Beats, Viper Beats, and more. What makes the project stand out from other artists in his lane is Kbandz’s extra effort and attention to detail.

“The music I’m making – I’m passionate about it and I want people to know that I’m not here for gimmicks, I’m here to give the best music sonically and lyrically,” KBandz says of his music. “I want people to know quality. I stand on that when it comes to my art. I’m very picky with mixes, masters, everything. If you ask anybody on my team, my camp, they’ll tell you I listen to ten different masters and I’ll send it out to people in my team. l want people to know that I’m really on some artistry shit … I’ve always been this way – over time I’ve gotten harder on myself when it comes to the quality.”

Kbeezy isn’t the only thing Mr. Kbandz has to show for. While most young unsigned talent is still figuring out the ins and outs of being a recording artist, Kbandz seems to have the discipline and foresight of a veteran major label artist. While fans are still enjoying Kbeezy, Mr. KBandz is already planning his next move, and the one after that too. According to KBandz, fans can expect “more high quality production, some work with PNB Rock and a collaboration with Ray J.”

“It’s a funny story – the Ray J collab wasn’t even supposed to happen,” KBandz recounts of his experience on working with Ray J. “I didn’t think it was gonna happen. I met Ray J in the studio, I played him my music, and he said it was hard. He said, ‘Go ahead, load up the session – let’s make the music.’

“Working with Ray J man, it was great. He’s a legend. He’s one of the greats in R&B, he has one of the best R&B songs of all time, no debate. I don’t think we can argue that ‘One Wish’ is definitely one of the best R&B songs of all time. I got to see him record. I got to see his recording process and his feedback with my music and it was just a great great opportunity man.”

Be on the lookout for what Mr.KBandz has coming up next as he’s ready to show the world what he’s capable of.

Breezy BRG marvels in her smitten music visuals for “I Like You”

19 year old hip hop singer and songwriter Breezy BRG has released her self written and directed music video for her record, “I Like You.”

The talented Orlando, Florida rapper demonstrates her panache on camera as the music visuals offer a strong performance to the already charismatic song.

The anthem record follows her inescapably touted “Like Me” single, out now.

Employing exquisite cadence and her signature high energy delivery to her rhymes on the verses, she also channels her emotional edge with a sappy-like, catchy and smitten fold chorus.

Talking to RemixdMag, the chart-topping artist revealed a temptation to switch from her much-known aggressive style of rap for this single inspired the pop tinged approach.

“This is a song with a summer vibe… riding in a drop top, hair blowing in the wind, living care free,” she said. “What inspired this project is that my music is usually hard and aggressive, so I wanted to switch it up and make something fun, cute, and sexy that had a summer feel to it.”

The music video is a sassy, vibrant, and cosplay vibe music video reminiscent of an aughts R&B music video. She plays a waitress who is dreamy about a stud that walks into her cafeteria and she can’t resist but imagine a whole future with the guy. She has amazing queues where she also flaunts her dance skills.

Furthermore, the fast-rising artist admits to working on her third opus, Game Over. In a generous mood, the Florida sensation opened up to us clarifying its in its final stages and expects it to be released in the fall.

“I am working on completing my 3rd album, “Game Over”, which will be done in the early Fall. My team and I are choosing the songs for it now, so we are getting close. Next, I would like to start booking some shows and performing live. I have been in the studio non-stop, so I am ready to go out and perform for the fans”
