“It’s a Nauti world”
To be honest, I’ve never heard of any New Zealand based artists specifically in rap/hip-hop, and man was I sleeping! I recently got put onto this dope artist who goes by the name Nauti, who is bringing back real music to the game. Nauti just released a brand new 7-track-EP, that is full of bangers from top to bottom. The project starts out with the song “Ashy to Classy” which is a hard-hitting rap classic, and slowly progresses to more laid back/spacious tones on “Wizard of Oz” and “Elysian Fields”, all demonstrating Nauti’s versatility as a rapper.
I first stumbled across the music video for his song “OWEE”, and ever since I’ve been a huge fan. I really hope you guys check out the project below, and let me know what you think! Will New Zealand rap be the next big trend following in the footsteps of UK Drill? I personally believe so, especially with Nauti leading the pack. Cheers!
