Atlanta-based pop/R&B artist Kelly Morgan returns with her new lyric visual for “Enough” — and recently spoke with RemixdMag to discuss the meaning behind it.
“I wrote this song about my life story how sometimes I felt I wasn’t good enough but finding the faith to self motivate,” Morgan says. “This song is to anyone who ever felt like they weren’t enough or was told you can’t be what you always dreamed of being. The answer is to look within to know you were created already to be enough.”

I’m from Atlanta Georgia, and I’m also in Atlanta Georgia!! 🙂
What is your artist name? What is your real name? How did you get your artist name?
My artist name is Kelly Morgan and my real name is Kelly Morgan hahaha, I got my artist name because that’s the name I was born into and I feel like one day when I can leave my legacy of what I’ve done while I was on earth it will be the name I keep my head up to 🙂
How would you describe your sound to readers who may not be familiar with you?
I would describe my musician style as POP/ R&B . Fun music that I enjoyed making. Music that has a meaning to me and music people can find meaning to 🙂
What’s one reason you are passionate about music and what inspires you?
One reason that I’m passionate about music is it always was something that made me happy and something I always had to sing to. I can’t fully describe it but I always had to come to it no matter what it started when I was a little girl . My grandmother inspires me even though she is no longer here she inspires me to keep going she always told me to fight and push for what I wanted to never give up.
Who are some of your main musical influences?
Beyonce because her work ethic always inspired me as a little girl to present. She always made me feel like if i’m working hard I need to work even harder. Whitney Houston because every song she sang she put her heart into it , and Selena because of her fun playfulness in her music it made me feel like I was having an experience and her heart. Taylor swift inspired me on the songwriting side.

“ENOUGH” is the name of the project. I wrote this song about my life story how sometimes I felt I wasn’t good enough but finding the faith to self motivate. What is this project about in your own words?
It’s about making everyone feel like they are enough or spark something in them to realize they are enough. Everything they are looking for is knowing who they are and knowing there’s power in being unique and being different . To believe in yourself when maybe others don’t.
What’s next for you? Are you working on any upcoming projects we should be on the lookout for? Include some dates if you have them.
Yes!!! I’m so excited about everything coming up! I will be competing in the Miss Georgia/ Miss USA pageant. I’ll be competing for Miss Georgia, which is really exciting! I’ll also be competing as Miss Rockdale, USA. Musically, I’ll be opening for Ginuwine, Next, in addition to David Banner, Lil Flip, Farrah Franklin (from Destiny’s Child), Marshall Thompson ( Chi Lites) at the “All White Party” in Houston, Texas, Dec. 3rd.
What message do you hope fans take away from your music and from this project?
I hope they take away that self love is the key to doing everything you have ever wanted and dreamed of in life. That believing in yourself will take you very far, do it for the future you, do it for the little you and do it for the present you . I want them to take away that as cliche as it sounds you are enough , go for your dreams don’t let anyone tell you it’s not possible .
