5G delivers visuals for new single “Talk To Me Nicely”

[“Talk To Me Nicely” Artwork]

Y’all are sleeping if you haven’t heard of Sacramento rapper 5G. Just yesterday, he dropped new visuals for his brand new single “Talk To Me Nicely (Feat. Drilla)” accompanied by a fire music video from director Jackson Bert. When I first saw the video, it reminded me of the A$AP Mob glory days, when they were on top of the east coast music scene. On “Talk To Me Nicely” they pay respects to Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert with a direct lyrical reference to their song “woke up like this”, “Oh I think they like me, in my white tee“, as 5G flexes his influence in music and in the streets. Fire synthesizers carry the production throughout the song, allowing 5G and Drilla to punch in and out in a compelling manner, complimenting the overall composition of the track. If you’re into the new generation of artists, this song will immediately resonate with you, “Talk To Me Nicely” had me feeling like I just discovered Uzi and Carti all over again. Check out the song below, and support 5G & Drilla on their rise to the top! Cheers.

Li Heat is back with bouncy new anthem “Laser Beam”

Today, rising rap sensation Li Heat returns with the playful new single “Laser Beam.” Listen HERE. With boastful lyrics about his skills on the mic, the Alabama spitter’s new track displays his ability to weave together punchlines with an inherent knack for melody. “Laser Beam” is now available at all digital retailers.

On the track, Heat spits over bouncing drums and subtle, barely-there synths, giving the MC ample room to show off his flow. “See, like Lil Wayne I been a hot boy since a bg, I know y’all folks remember them days ain’t have no paper on me,” he spits. He hammers home the point when he adds: “Now I got thirty thousand in vvs thirty hoes tryna fuck on me.” Heat lets it be known that few in the rap game can match his swagger and delivery.

2022 continues to be a breakthrough year for Heat. “Laser Beam” follows recent singles like the emotional “Left 4 Dead” and “Dumb AF,” which found him dropping razor-sharp quips. His recent mixtape, 3400 Degreez, exuded versatility and depth with the rapper unfurling his low, unstoppable flow over bone-rattling beats. The project also included notable collaborations with PGF Nuk (“Switchin”), Lul Bob (“Smokersclub”), and Landlord Lo (“Sinning”).

Listing his inspirations as NoCap, Rylo Rodriguez, Tee Grizzley, Luh Soldier, and Lil Baby, Heat incorporates their influences into his style in a way that still feels boldly original in rap’s crowded culture. With “Laser Beam,” he positions himself as an artist equally adept at dropping deeply contemplative and rich portraits of his street life and upbeat, club-ready anthems built around clever bars and undeniable flexes.
