I describe my sound to be melodious , and smooth. A lot of high cadences but yet smooth.

What’s one reason you are passionate about music and what inspires you?

One of the main reasons I’m passionate about music is because it’s like therapy to me. What I can’t express out loud I’ll just put it in the music. My inspirations come from a lot of different things and people. I just take all of them in and make it my own. I am really inspired by the whole process of making music. I love  everything that comes with it. Ups and downs.

Who are some of your main musical influences?

One of my main influences has to be Roddy Ricch and Future.

Tell us the name of the project you are currently promoting? What inspired this project?

I have a project called The People’s Choice on the way, top of 2023. I would say the past events I been going through ….throughout these last two years inspired this project. I kind of took all my emotions and put it into 1 whole project.

February 28th is the set date for my project to be released. Which is also my birthday

What is this project about in your own words?

The People’s Choice project is a project to bring you into the world of me and shed light on situations I went through in my life to make this project to be. I feel the title itself is self explanatory because I feel as if everyone and my peers have been waiting and counting on me for so long it’s my time to show why I’m the choice. I felt chosen.

The message I hope my fans and others receive from my project is that we are not that much different from each other, we are just on different paths. Dark-net superstar drops a music video for his song, “LSD IN ASPEN”

Dark-net superstar recently released a music video for his song “LSD IN ASPEN.” The video is the epitome of a psychedelic experience. As you can see by the thumbnail, the video features a Blackberry that displays trippy visuals and different performances of a green-screen film session dark-net superstar had. Also, the screen slowly gets filled with other phrases that can only be assumed as dark-net superstar’s intrusive thoughts as he goes through this LSD trip in Aspen.

Watch the music video for dark-net superstar’s “LSD IN ASPEN” above.

Dark-net superstar explained his music-making process as the following:

I get most excited to record when I’m in the moment having fun with my friends… and that’s precisely what happened with this song.

dark-net superstar

Evidently, this music-making process was used in “LSD IN ASPEN.” Even though dark-net superstar repeated the hook for most of the song, it gives off this fun energy. That fun energy is reciprocated in the video. Dark-net superstar gives a comedic routine with a prop lamp. The viewer is confused about what’s happening, but at the same time, they find dark-net superstar undeniably funny. Only a few artists are open enough to show their goofy side in music videos. Still, dark-net superstar is open to doing so.

One of the critical components of this video is its ambiguity. Sure, dark-net superstar may have had a vision when creating the music video. Still, the video is so up-in-the-air that the viewer can create their own explanation for the various antics of the performing artist. On top of that, the song is so short that the viewer is left to wonder what just happened. So, the replay value of this video is so high because people have to go back and watch to understand what they just watched. Dark-net superstar invites his audience to interpret the song and video as they wish and creates an interactive piece of art.

Moreno ITF shares ‘GANGOSO WORLD EP’

Moreno ITF is an artist to watch! Fresh off the heels of his On The Radar freestyle, the Bronx, New York-based artist is back with a new EP for his fans to continue to enjoy his music, called ‘GANGOSO WORLD.’

The project is filled with 5-tracks of pure fuego, and Moreno ITF does not disappoint on any track. Offering up a vibe that’s completely new and different from his previous releases, Moreno ITF showcases his versatility as an artist and his unique sound.

“I feel really good about this project,” Moreno ITF said. “My wish is to have the world hear this project with their own ears and to understand what the movement is about and see how it resonates. I know that I have a crazy flow, but I really want people to listen to what I’m saying because I’m telling a story that I feel many can relate to.”

A story that many can relate to is correct, as each song touches on different themes of life. He talks about grinding and doing things the right way, meaning not causing harm to others but still being successful.

Each track is special in its own way, however standout tracks include “Berkin” and “Ruff,” and play a bigger role in pushing the narrative that Moreno ITF is striving towards.

Keep reading to learn more about Moreno ITF & his new music below.

What city are you from/ Where are you based now?

I actually mentioned this in my On The Radar freestyle, and some people from my country noticed, but I’m from Cristo Rey, Dominican Republic & the Bronx, New York. I’m currently based in the Bronx, New York.

What is your artist name? What is your real name? How did you get your artist name?

Moreno ITF is my artist name and Braulio is my real name. My mom’s nickname for me growing up was Moreno. I wanted to keep my artist name to true my history, so I went by Moreno and added the ITF after for my label Interface Records.

How would you describe your sound to readers who may not be familiar with you?

If you don’t know my music, the best way to describe my sound is a mix of Pop Smoke and Dominican artist, Rochy RD. It’s a blend of the streets of the Dominican Republic and the Drill sound of New York.

What’s one reason you are passionate about music and what inspires you?

I’m passionate about music because besides touching people with my music, it’s a way of therapy for me. I’m much better at writing songs than talking out my feelings. I think we all have something, and that works best for me. LIFE inspires me. Life, women, and struggles. Going through struggles and rising above it is inspiring because it’s a reminder to keep going and to not repeat the past.

Who are some of your main musical influences?

Lapiz Conciente, JC, Tego Calderón, and Canserbero

Tell us the name of the project you are currently promoting? What inspired this project?

I am currently promoting my debut EP, GANGOSO WORLD.  The whole movement of the Gangoso Lifestyle is what inspired this project. What makes Gangoso special is that it’s a mix of every lifestyle; that means every way of life can be Gangoso, you just gotta grind and do it the right way, not by causing harm to others and still being successful.

Date that this project dropped or is set to drop?

The GANGOSO WORLD (EP) dropped on December 2nd, 2022.

What is this project about in your own words?

I feel really good about this project. My wish is to have the world hear this project with their own ears and to understand what the movement is about and see how it resonates. I know that I have a crazy flow, but I really want people to listen to what I’m saying because I’m telling a story that I feel many can relate to.

What’s next for you? Are you working on any upcoming projects we should be on the lookout for? Include some dates if you have them.

Traveling around the world. Keep on the lookout for something dropping in the Spring. I also might drop a Drill EP with another artist I can’t name yet sometime in 2023.

What message do you hope fans take away from your music and from this project?

You should NEVER give up. I say it in my music all the time. We all go through ups and downs and have doubts but you just gotta keep going, don’t stop.

Jermaine Robinson drops off hot new track “Rap Sinatra (feat Zorina)”

Jermaine Robinson stops at nothing to spread powerful messages to his audience. His slew of rhymes only encourages the masses to prevail and succeed in all of the things they’ve ever dreamed of

Channeling the origin of music through lively instrumentations and intellectually-driven bars, the Georgia-bred MC introduces listeners alike to a sound that’s almost unheard of these days.

“Creating music has always been my outlet for freely and unapologetically releasing all those thoughts and emotions,” he continues. “Music has always been my safe space, so I hold it in high regard. And being able to create and express not only my voice but the voices of others is something I’ve never taken lightly.”

His rap delivery is akin to musicians like Organized Noize, The Dungeon Family Outkast Goodie Mob, J. Cole, and Lil Wayne.

Rather than using his gift of gab to promote violence or narcissism, Jermaine Robinson lists the pros of evolving and weathering the storm. His new single, “Rap Sinatra (feat. Zorina),” mirrors this notion.

“‘Rap Sinatra’ is about maturing into your best potential,” Jermaine says. “Being confident and unapologetic in all the things that make you stand out, and how that confidence will help you prevail through all the limitations and setbacks that life could give you.”

“Rap Sinatra” serves as an introduction to the emerging rapper’s progression. It’ll be a part of his “The Rap Sinatra Era” series.

In “Rap Sinatra,” Jermaine Robinson draws from his experiences to show the strength behind perseverance. The record begins with a commanding piano loop before an organ, booming 808s, and other lively arrangements intervene. At first, a spoken word artist defines growth and what it entails. Jermaine Robinson then uses a relentless flow to give fans a sense of his demeanor and artistic style.

He raps, “I toast to people with my rhymes and never quote the evil/I’m known to keep a regal pose/I never show no angst/Never remain selective in the areas I show my grace.”

Further into “Rap Sinatra,” the artist gets transparent and admits to fighting through tough times. Elsewhere, he vocalizes why he’s better than your average rapper.

This line specifically cuts his competition deep,

Your favorite rapper is a novice fakin’ flows with flossin’.”

A drum line gradually appears as Jermaine Robinson reveals his purpose in the hip-hop industry.

Zorina then shows us that there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel in all circumstances.

She sings,
“There’s so much pain I don’t feel it/But still my souls undefeated.”

The second verse finds Jermaine Robinson sharing his own dealings with hopelessness. But, regardless, he declares that he’s on his way to the top.

“It’s a battle every day/It ain’t no debate/But my sincerities an image that you don’t deface.”

Moving forward, Jermaine Robinson will drop consistently for the Rap Sinatra Era. He also is putting together free shows and merch to support these releases.

Miami artist Numbas returns with unforgettable new track “Pure Luv”

Rising Miami rapper Numbas is back with new music in support of his upcoming project Trigonometry Vol 2. And according to Numbas himself the track, “is a testament to unconditional love.” His focus track “Pure Luv” successfully blends melodic rap and dancehall rhythms to create the perfect feel good song. From the hypnotic hook and deep drums of the beat, Numbas leverages to deliver a smooth hip-hop vibe.

The track is about “finding that person that has no ulterior motives.” Numbas is emphasizing on finding true love that you never have to question. The song features “Preach” and Durty So Clean and their cadence matches perfectly with more rap-oriented aspects of Numbas’ sound. They all manage to evoke good feelings and infectious vocals.

The Miami rapper added, “the song is inspired by the right for women to choose and she chose life the same as my mother did for me.” Finishing off the year with a standout track and visual will surely compliment Numbas’ momentum going into 2023. We can expect more music from Numbas but until then, you can check out the “Pure Luv” below.

R&B sensation Serayah shares new single “Present For Me” just in time for the holidays

LISTEN HERE

Serayah, the multidisciplinary singer-songwriter, entrepreneur, and Hollywood starlet who has captured our gaze with her role as Tiana Brown on the television show Empire, is in the holiday spirit with her latest single, “Present For Me” – which is co-written by Jazzy Pha, Iren “IG” Golder and Caleb Ishman.

This Christmas, Serayah doesn’t have much on her wish list other than gifting her significant other all of her love and admiration. With production by Hendrix Smoke and Mayhem, “Present For Me” threads the California singer’s vocal dexterity through a guitar-laden instrumental that’s punctuated by neo-soul sensibilities. And just like the gift that keeps on giving, Serayah’s crooning chops leave listeners wanting more.

On the new track, Serayah explains: “For starters, I love Christmas. I fell into this sexy trance at the studio, and this year is different – I’m calling out all the lovers.”

“Present For Me” is the follow up to her love-tinged score, “Revenge,” released back in May – which garnered praise from media outlets such as Rated R&B and Soul Bounce, the latter describing her single as a “seductive groove” that’s “interesting and worthy of a replay.”

Whether Serayah is stirring up drama as a former stripper-turned-gospel-singer in the television series Kingdom Business, or winning over fans with her songwriting skills, she has all the tangibles required to thrive as an independent force – in the music world and entertainment. Not to mention, she’s gearing up for BMF’s second season, which is scheduled to air next year on Jan 6.

From VH1’s holiday-themed movie, Hip Hop Family Christmas, to the sequel, Hip Hop Family Christmas Wedding, Serayah is well on her way to becoming a fixture of the holiday season.

About Serayah:

Serayah is best known for her breakout role of Tiana Brown on Fox’s iconic series, Empire, which had a six-season series run with the final season concluding in April 2020. Serayah is not only talented and beautiful as a television actress but also as an incredible music artist. Over the years, she has begun to flourish as a music artist, writing, and co-producing her songs and videos. In addition to being a television actress, she is now embarking on her journey as a lead actress in  several network premiere movies along with being an executive producer by creating different series. She is taking her talents from being only in front of the camera to now also behind the camera.
