G Herbo, Earn Your Leisure and 19 Keys join Oasis for Rebuild Chicago

Oasis Investment Group had a packed house tonight at the Harold Washington Theater as they partnered with REVOLT & For(bes) the Culture for their REBUILD Chicago event. The event included panel discussions, fireside chats and a town hall with the residents of Chicago to discuss how to give back to the community. Over 1,200 Chicago natives packed out the theater to learn how to improve their communities despite there being no announcement of celebrity appearances. G Herbo made a surprise appearance on a panel to discuss the importance of taking care of yourself, community and each other.

The packed out event also included Rashid Bilal and Troy Millings from Earn Your Leisure, Michael Amir and Faheem Muhammad the Founders of Oasis, Global Leader 19 Keys and Professional Boxer Mike Rashid and Senior Advisor to Sean “Diddy” Combs Cory Jacobs. 
“Last night was EPIC! For a thousand people to come out, in the cold, on a Monday, to learn more about OASIS is AMAZING! But REBUILD isn’t about a day, it’s a movement, it’s about action,” said Amir. “So although yesterday was a success, the real work comes tomorrow.”

G. Herbo spoke on the importance of how you communicate in order to implement change and believes he’s been successful in getting his message across to the teens and young adults in Chicago because he speaks to them from a place of experience rather than a place of authority.

19 Keys opened up the show with a powerful monologue that immediately drew in crowd interest. Other panelists include Mustapha Farrakhan Jr. and Julian Mitchell. Oasis investor Jermaine McArthur was also in attendance. Sounds were provided by DJ Preme and the show was hosted by Los Angeles Radio Personality DJ Hed.

Joy Ofodu and Tallie Spencer scrutinize online dating on Episode 10 of SSL Podcast

On the milestone episode of music media personality Tallie Spencer’s SSL Podcast, celebrated comedian, voice actor and all-round creative hyphenate Joy Ofodu joins the show.

On the eye-opening series, the two get into the meat of all things online dating; from the apps used, to discerning profiles of men that are looking to date seriously from the digital space that is online media – the two women dismantle cyber dating and more.

“A man who has an Instagram account is not waving a flag that they want to be in a committed relationship” the former Instagram Marketing manager Joy chimes in cognizant.

Joy elaborated how metrics on dating apps are specifically tailored for knowing an individual in detail, while social networking apps serve a totally different role.

“Dating apps are more curated to tell me more of who you are as a person whereas Instagram isn’t” Joy quipped about Instagram and social networking apps being covert in their nature of sharing information about a person, and being more personality and lifestyle-centric.

The two debunked how social media has enabled more intentional conversations, allowance to options, and the fun side of it while scouring for potential dating partners, among more trivia.
