1TakeJay is braggadocios as ever in “The Biggest” visual

Being 1TakeJay is no small task and he had to let it be known on his brand new single and video titled “The Biggest”. Jay is braggadocios as ever, spewing the bars “I don’t eat at Burger King because I’m talented, I told her have it your way because I’m having it” in a much calmer manner on this track, as opposed to his typical zealous flow. The visual directed by YOURJUSTNTIME captures Jay’s spectacular life, filled with french maids bringing him the biggest breakfast, followed by him watching the biggest TV, with the biggest chain on, in the biggest penthouse.

1TakeJay has kicked off this year with two new singles already and is just getting started as he plans on releasing much more music in the coming months sticking to the formula of consistency plus quality he has come to be known for.

Podcast: SSL Episode 14 sees R&B heartthrob Grace Weber and Tallie Spencer bridge the gap on long distance relationships

California based R&B singer Grace Weber graces the SSL podcast.

This week the episode offered fresher perspective with smitten R&B star Grace who happens to be married latching on the topic “Long Distance Relationships”.

Grace’s lens of a woman who’s been in a long and committed relationship in her early 20’s (20-24) provided much insight into how she navigated through her personal experience being in a long distance based relationship.

With her significant other living in a different state, and even leaving the country for over 3 months for studying purposes, she was in an enlightened space to share how to keep the relationship as spicy and engaging when her partner wasn’t around.

“We were young so something that made it work was that we could give each other space because we were just so focused on our own lives, so working things out separately while together worked out for us”, the “Thru The Fire” singer Grace opened up quite softly.

She continued stressing trust was an important tenet in ensuring things were easier “He just trusts me so much that it makes me feel super confident” Grace conceded whilst mentioning her love language was “touch” and at this point and “she probably couldn’t handle a long distance relationship in this day and age”.

“Back then there wasn’t FaceTime or WhatsApp so it was a different time about 8-10 years ago” she joked gingerly.

“I’m still amazed how we did it” Grace quipped.

Both Tallie and Grace in tandem also aligned on the fact that going above and beyond in applying effort such as extra communication was a huge factor in bettering affairs between two partners. Tallie admitted to being in a long-distance relationship during the pandemic and even owning an airline credit card in order to make her relationship work.

From ways to stay romantic in a long distance relationship such as gifts in the mailbox, keeping souvenirs such as hoodies, constant communication, to the intensity and look-forwards, the two left it all on the floor allowing us into their lives almost.

Kaash Paige brings out 6lack at sold out LA show

Singer Kaash Paige takes the stage at the historic Roxy Theatre in Hollywood for the second stop on her “Me Vs Myself” tour. Featuring flashy stage lighting and continuous crowd interactions, Kaash’s energy reverberates through the entire venue. As an added bonus, she welcomes singer and rapper 6lack to perform their breakout hit, “Miss My Dawgs.”

Singer Amari Noelle is accompanying Paige throughout the tour as an opener, and opened the night with great energy, setting the tone for the entire evening. Noelle proved to me a great pick as an opener as her smooth voice and buttery vocals really engaged the crowd.

Before Kaash Paige ran out onstage to greet her audience, the tour DJ Young Jas, incites a chant screaming, “Kaash” as the crowd replies, “Paige.” The back and forth quickly turns to cheers as Kaash takes the stage in a black racer jacket and a cat-eared beanie. A sea of hands move up and down to the beat of “Doubted Me.” She belts her rhythmic vocals into the microphone with a casual demeanor.

She slows things down for the more introspective “Self Esteem” walking closer to her fans to grab hands. The crowd is now holding phone lights in the air to create a softer ambiance. After the song, she chats with the audience as if speaking individually to each attendee.

Throughout the show, she eventually ditches her jacket to show a crisp white t-shirt and dangling chain. The melodic beat of “Miss My Dawgs” plays over the speakers and 6lack runs out to accompany the artist. They duet the song bobbing and weaving along to each other. 6lack smiles at the cheering audience as he hugs Kaash.

The venue is packed wall to wall with people, each singing along or snapping pictures of the artist as she moves from one end of the stage to the other. She works the room with ease making sure to look at each section of the crowd. Bodyguards approach the singer as she decides to make her way into the audience. Finally reaching the short wall divider of the VIP section, she is lifted up and “AWESOME” starts to play.

Kaash Paige has become a rising star on Def Jam’s roster, but this tour proves she is also a talented performer. Her stage presence and infectious energy is unmatched. A sold out show at The Roxy is just the beginning for the young R&B artist.
