Jass Clutch returns with new visual “Hold Up”

Jass Clutch

Jass Clutch is one to keep your eye on this year.

With her feature earlier last year with the well-known Finese2Tymes, Jass Clutch (@jassclutch) created waves in ’22, and she’s starting ‘2023 with another brand-new song and a brand-new video in her back pocket. The “Hold Up” visual, which was created by Clearcut Imaging, tells the tale of a strong, independent woman who is not only thriving but also surviving in a largely male-dominated industry.

Jass Clutch puts her foot down and moves through the gears with a vibe that is distinct and easily recognizable, keeping the men in check with a song that highlights her lyrical flow. This YouTube sensation releases explosives with each action; in just one month, it has racked up over 175K views.

As she makes her way outside, she is establishing her name as a respected rapper.

Watch the video for “Hold Up,” below:

The rising artist from North Carolina is on the rise and has no plans of stopping any time soon. She also managed to get a feature with the hottest Memphis rapper right now, Finese2Tymes. He is featured in and appears in Jass Clutch’s new visual “Whole Lot.”

Jass’s music is full of high energy while delivering gritty bars over hard-hitting bass instrumental beats. The music video however, shows Jass’s exciting new visual, that features her taking us through the parts of her old stomping grounds.

Actor Gregg Hillhouse talks featuring on ‘Back In The Groove’ hosted by Taye Diggs

gregg hillhouse

Multitalented actor and model Gregg Hillhouse opens up to Remixd Mag about his recent experience of being casted in reality TV show ‘Back In The Groove’ on Hulu! Competing with 24 other men for the love of three middle-aged women, he is elated at being part of the series shot in a villa within the gaudy resides of Puerta Plata, Dominican Republic.

“It looks humorous but it takes some adjusting” he tells Remixd Mag.

Getting to know Gregg Hillhouse

“A few grueling and sleepless nights as I was left only amongst my thoughts. NO television, NO Phones, NO outside communication amongst loved ones as well as the world. It may seem humorous but it did take some initial adjusting.”

Selected as the first contestant, he cites the new experiences such as dating three women at once, of a different age bracket than he’s used to were eye-opening moments for him.

“It’s not everyday you go on a date with two or three other individuals (group date),” Gregg Hillhouse said.

“Some of the slick tricks that I had once gotten away with in college are not going to earn favor with GROWN women. Three women within their 40’s. You gotta come with it. Be a man and show them that you can handle a strong, robust and hard working personality. These three women are beautiful, a charming and beguiling smile won’t be enough. You have to have more substance to you. I brought the entire package. This experience brought out the best in me.”

Where the passion comes from

In the end, he explains it was more than grappling for the prize, as he and some of the gents built genuine relationships:

“Amidst all of the competition, jockeying for position with 24 other competitors it is important to denote that I forged a brotherhood. Life long bonds with good men and good overall people. Win or lose, we became a unit. Through thick and thin, a family. I know I definitely left some good film out there and went out on that island swinging for the fences” he disseminated.

Even with the ostentatious looks, Gregg says he has an enthusiasm for being behind the camera, even though he is still comfortable in front of it. The Phoenix, Arizona native is a Journalism graduate from Phoenix State Arizona University:

“Acting has always been a passion of mine. I am a movie buff for sure! Quoting movie lines on the daily. A student of the game overall. I find myself just as fascinated with behind the scenes work than that of being in front of the camera,” he said. “

Moving forward

“I am learning how to operate with camera equipment,” Gregg Hillhouse mentions. “This illustrious experience has shown me just how hard the production team works behind the scenes. They are the real MVP’s, not just cast and talent.”

Aspirational and wide-eyed as ever, he hopes to have his own productions in the future and feature in pristine modelling campaigns by high-end brands in the future:

“I look to continue working as a model and advancing my career. See myself on the island of Ibiza, shooting a Giorgio Armani fragrance commercial. White sands, vibrant aqua colored watering. I can also see myself smiling for a Crest commercial–I keep the pearly white’s ready and in high demand! The best is yet to come. Dream it, view it and achieve it. Speak it within existence. Trust me when I say that I am ready. Godspeed.”

Stream Evan200k’s EP, ‘overlooked’

Evan200k released his EP on Jan. 27 this year and titled it “overlooked.” The EP is great, but the title speaks volumes on its own. Nowadays, listeners are looking for the next best artist. Thus, the producer needs to be more consistently noticed, hence the title. Producers should get more recognition for their work other than just being in the credits of a song. They should be given a bigger platform to build their name as artists. That’s precisely what Evan200k aimed to do with “overlooked,” and he’s doing just that.

The story behind ‘overlooked’

“overlooked” is entirely instrumental. Evan200k wanted to display some of his talents. He’s gotten placements with the likes of EST Gee, Stunna 4 Vegas, and YSN Flow, but with this project, he wanted to shift the spotlight onto himself. He’s a producer out of Pittsburgh who’s starting to gain some traction for his name with this EP. Each song has over 1,000 plays on Spotify and is about to reach 4,500 total streams. For an instrumental EP, this is a notable and congratulatory feat.

But why is it starting to take off? Why would a rap producer’s EP gain so much traction? “overlooked” is an EP for all. So if you’re trying to relax, this project is perfect. Each song lulls you into relaxation and guides you down a smooth, soothing path to bliss. Picture yourself trying to calm down, studying, taking a late-night drive, or anything while you listen to this EP, and you’ll notice that the situation becomes calmer.
