Rising UK artist to watch: Jay Lewn stays grounded on new track “Jupiter”

London-based artist/producer Jay Lewn (@jay_lewn) is certainly someone you should have on your radar this year. The UK act is making waves, starting with his new release “Jupiter.”

After being co-signed by BBC, one of the biggest platforms, for his impressive dedication to his craft, things have been looking up for Jay Lewn. Starting 2023 on a good note, his first release of the year, “Jupiter” ft. Stevan, does a great job of allowing Jay Lewn to go through the motions. Most importantly the newly released single shows off Jay’s best attribute, which is his emotional vulnerability.

“Both Stevan and I have had our share own separate battles with mental health and depression, so we wrote Jupiter as our own anthem for reclaiming the power over our battle with mental illness,” Jay Lewn says of his track “Jupiter.”

Through all the turmoil, both artists kept their composure and used their energy towards bouncing back and landing on their feet. This song feels like a fresh start to both of their situations. The way they combine different elements from different genres reminds me somewhat of Frank Ocean. Frank wasn’t afraid to push the boundaries and create music, kind of like Jay Lewn executed in this track.

The best is yet to come though. This is just a preview of what to expect from Jay Lewn’s upcoming mixtape titled “SATELLITE KID”, which he describes as a “coming-of-age experience, love, unrequited love, sexuality, mental health, and identity as a whole.”

But until then, be sure to stream “Jupiter”, which can be found on all streaming platforms.
