R&B artist JeRonelle brings a fresh new passion to music with soulful release “Stuck”

JeRonelle

With a fresh year ahead, vibrant music awaits on the horizon. One of the most anticipated releases comes from Omaha born and currently Los Angeles residing singer-songwriter, JeRonelle. Reemerging with new song “Stuck,” a passionate, soulful song that captivates the essence of re-establishing a connection with a past love that they generated rich feelings for, JeRonelle is showcasing why he is one of the freshest voices to come out of R&B.

Originally from Omaha, Nebraska — JeRonelle is a musical person at his core and his sound can be described as soulful, traditional R&B. You can also hear church melodies within his music, so it’s no wonder that some of the icons he takes inspiration from include: John Legend, Donny Hathaway, Daryl Coley, Kim Burrell, Maxwell, John P. Kee, The Clark Sisters, and The Jacksons.

“I would describe my sound as a mix of traditional R&B, church, and hints of [op on occasion,” he tells RemixdMag. “I try to pattern myself after iconic vocalists who came before and I consider myself a bit of a storyteller so lyrics and vocal ability matter a lot to me.”

“Stuck” is the lead single from JeRonelle’s forthcoming EP ‘Regret & Reflect,’ coming this Spring.

“I love the backstory behind my name as it is a combination of Jehovah/Jesus, as well as Ron & Michelle (my parents),” he explained. “I feel as though my name is undeniably unique and allows me to stand out especially as an artist.”

As far as his inspiration for pursuing a career in music, JeRonelle says that music has always been an integral part of his life.

“Music has been an integral part of my life since childhood so naturally, I take my craft seriously,” he said. “I’m passionate about music because its gotten me through so many moments of my life whether good or bad. I often find inspiration when going back and studying my favorite artists and their contemporaries, but as of late I’ve also been inspired by the work coming from my peers and artist friends.”

His song “Stuck” is definitely emotional, but JeRonelle masters the storytelling of heartbreak and losing someone you love to someone else.

“‘Stuck’ is an emotionally charged track about the aftermath of losing the one you love to someone new and having to cope with the memories and bitter feelings,” he continued. “I wrote this song as well as a bunch of others in late 2021/early 2022 after finding my way out of a failed dating situation. The mixing process took a little longer than expected so I decided that it’s be best to release the new music in 2023 and come into the new year super strong.”

Yoshi Vintage makes her comeback with new single, “R U Nobody Too?”

Yoshi Vintage

Who is Yoshi Vintage

If Yoshi Vintage isn’t already on your playlist, allow Remixd Mag to put her on your radar . The Flint-native, LA-based artist has been gaining attention for her “gritty, yet witty” sound. She released her latest single, “R U Nobody Too”, produced by ML3, and mixed by Mark Lowe. Though, this is Yoshi’s first single in 5 years, she delivered the heat like she never left. The song is a blend of Hip-Hop and jazz as Yoshi delivers a raw, truth-telling, yet poetic story depicting where she was in life.

“I honestly was in a very dark place a few months ago. Where I was questioning God, myself, everyone around me. Humans we naturally go into fight or flight. And I planned on running very far away. But I remembered all I’ve sacrificed to get here. Like my brother, Ab-Soul tells me ‘the only way out is through.’” she tells Remixd Mag.

The accompanying music video, shot and directed by Daniel Antonio, is just as captivating. Yoshi would call her sound “gritty”, however, she exudes this level of  femininity that is relatable and can be heard in her music, as well as seen in her video.

From a small neighborhood of Beecher in Flint, MI, Yoshi’s passion ultimately stems from her roots. She shares, “Because I watched a lot of people fall victim to the environment. Not knowing how to express themselves. I wanna be the voice for the those people.” That dedication is paying off. Yoshi has received nods from Hip-Hop’s most respected such as Rhapsody, Diddy, and Ab-Soul.

Yoshi is definitely an artist to be on the lookout for as she delivers hard-hitting verses, has boss energy, and a fascinating story to tell. Aside from the latest single, Yoshi plans on releasing more singles leading up to the release of her project in the summer.

Until then, get familiar and stay connected with Yoshi Vintage by following her on all social media platforms, and stream “R U Nobody Too?”
