Hailing from San Diego by way of Florida, Ainjo is the newest voice in R&B. Her artist name Ainjo which stems from her first name Angelisha Joseph has become her alter ego is said to be, “who I am when I am performing and doing music, Angelisha is who my friends and family know me as and Joseph is who I am at work.” Since her last release in 2021, Ainjo’s jazzy and sultry energy serves up a perfect reintroduction to music in 2023 with newly released single “Curious” The track is melodic yet bass heavy and inspired by a whimsical twist on a flirtatious real life story. “The song is Curious! There was a new woman at the hospital that I work at and she was just so cute! I felt as though she was interested in me but I really didn’t know!” Ainjo shares with Remixd Mag.

Stemming from similar artist including SZA, Summer Walker and Jaszmine Sullivan, Ainjo brings a fresh approach to the R&B genre. Including unique tones, and rhythms Ainjo’s musical style blends elements and connecting to her audience in a relatable way. “I want people to know that I understand whatever they’re going through. California-based artists Jimmie Bishop & ZachTheHero pour their heart out in ‘Heart In The Clouds’ collab-album

Jimmie Bishop & ZachTheHero

Riverside, California natives Jimmie Bishop(@jimmiebishop951) and Zach Hero(@zachthehero_) join forces on their romantic R&B-inspired album, “Heart In The Clouds.”

Produced entirely by longtime collaborator, Sounds by Soma, his production serves as the glue holding this project together. Without it,  this project surely wouldn’t have hit the same.

The funny thing about Heart In The Clouds, is that it wasn’t even made on purpose, it kind of came together very organically. I have always felt the best projects come out better when there is no pressure added. So with them approaching it with such a growth mindset, they were able to lock in and make their best music. The creation process is so much more enjoyable when that weight is lifted, and it’s very apparent and reflected in this project.

Yeah, Jimmie definitely had the vision on this project. I wasn’t convinced or really inspired to do the album until we were halfway done with the music, and like he said, we were knocking each track out like crazy fast. It really came together and I’m happy with the finished product.” – Zach Hero on Heart In The Clouds.

This 11-track song offering epitomizes the meaning of collaboration. Usually, when you have a group of artists, it can sometimes be overwhelming. But I can’t say that for these like-minded creatives, because they clearly cracked the code. I noticed that they don’t try to steal each other’s thunder, but instead, build off each other’s energy. My favorite track by far has to be “Euphoria”. That song is so perfectly titled because it’s so beautiful and feels euphoric as hell. First, Jimmie Bishop sets the vibe with his melodic vocals. But then it feels like ZachTheHero dropped a bomb when his verse came around which resulted in a rather dope combination.

Usually, I’m picky when it comes to new music, but there’s always room in my playlist for passionate music like this project.  After the success of this release, I’m positive that we can expect more heat on the way from this trio.
