Bree Runway and Khalid release captivating new single “Be The One”

Trailblazing pop sensation Bree Runway links up with global superstar Khalid for captivating new single “Be The One.”

An incredible collaboration between two musical visionaries, “Be The One” is a modern love song that’s destined to become a classic while further demonstrating Bree’s dynamic, genre-bending artistry and her undeniable talent. About two friends on a search for love, the song opens with the hazy, sun-dappled strum of a guitar before things blossom as kinetic R&B beats and watery electronics merge with layered and achingly beautiful harmonies. Weaving it together is the undeniable chemistry between Bree and Khalid, whose spine-tingling and evocative vocals, and heartfelt lyricism expertly convey the nervous hope, fear, and excitement of two people confessing their love.

Speaking about the track Bree says: “This collaboration is special to me for more than one reason; I’m obsessed with this song; our voices marry together perfectly. It magically came together from a hangout in the studio; I love Khalid for his light and his incredible character, I’m really proud to call him a friend, and now musical collaborator. This release will be major, very excited for the world to hear!”

Further showcasing the bond between Bree and Khalid is the vibrant and joyful video. Shot in Los Angeles by Zachary Bailey (U2, Offset) and set against stunning backdrops of the desert, mountains, and the expanse of the sea, it’s a playful exploration of love and friendship. “Be The One” arrives after a period of personal rejuvenation and creative nourishment for Bree. It follows 2022’s acclaimed surprise release WOAH, WHAT A BLUR!. Featuring Stormzy, the five-song collection affirmed Bree’s premier position within pop, while ruminating on her deepest insecurities and sewing herself back together stronger than ever.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again drops new album ‘Don’t Try This At Home’

GRAMMY®️ Award-nominated Louisiana rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again drops his mega-anticipated new album, Don’t Try This At Home. YoungBoy Never Broke Again is now one song away from earning 100 charting hits on the Hot 100. He will become the youngest artist to ever reach this milestone.

The album boasts features from Post Malone and The Kid LAROI, in addition to the recently released singles “WTF” featuring Nicki Minaj and “RearView” featuring Mariah the Scientist. With more than 30 billion total streams and 109 RIAA-certified releases including three platinum or double platinum albums, NBA YoungBoy is one of the most listened to artists in the world, and Don’t Try This At Home marks his 6^th full-length studio album to add to his canon. YoungBoy NBA is particularly dominant on YouTube where he is the #1 most-streamed artist of all time across all genres, with more than 12 billion views.

Recently covering Billboard’s Power 100 issue, YoungBoy notes in the cover story that he is looking forward to change with this album, stating “I am very curious of the person who I shall become.” Also in 2023, YoungBoy Never Broke Again was voted as The People’s Champ by readers for the XXL Awards. The Source cited him among the “Top 5 Hip-Hop Artists of 2022,” going on to call him “one of the most prolific rappers on the planet.” OkayPlayer declared, “There’s a YB song for every possible mood you can be in.” NPR put it best, “YoungBoy seems to have the upload button held down: He’s prolific but consistent, always active and always online, rolling out content at the algorithm’s desired pace.”

Sugarhill Ddot releases bold new single ‘Let Ha Go’

Harlem phenom Sugarhill Ddot makes his Priority Records debut with the blistering “Let Ha Go.” Boasting boundless energy and rapid-fire lyrics, the melodic concoction showcases the young MC’s unfiltered approach and undeniable suave charisma.“Let Ha Go” produced by MCVertt (known for Lil Uzi Vert’s “Just Wanna Rock”) is accompanied by a striking video, which depicts the teenager’s rise to stardom.

“Let me tell y’all story ’bout this shawty,” Ddot begins over finger clicks and drill beats. “She really a dime and she always running through my mind, like but I really had to let her go.” The reason is simple: the breakout star is going places and he needs to keep his eyes on the prize (i.e. global domination). “Notice that I was really going far, got the Rollie on my left,” he spits. “I ain’t playing no games, better come with respect.”

The accompanying video doubles as an introduction to Ddot, who is seen embracing his lofty new life on a cloud. He is then celebrated by fans in Times Square, before taking a Lamborghini back to his Harlem neighborhood showing that he hasn’t forgotten his roots. The video concludes with an epic dance sequence in an old warehouse. The “Let Ha Go” visual is bold, ambitious, and very much Ddot’s speed. Notably fellow NYC native George Buford directed the video and is known for his work with PinkPantheress and Ice Spice.

For nearly two years, Ddot has been honing his craft and garnering attention in New York’s burgeoning drill scene. On YouTube, a number of his self-released tracks, including “I Wanna Love You,” “Dream” and “The Real Purge” have racked up over 10 million combined views — not to mention catching the attention of hip-hop superstars like Drake whom Ddot modeled for. Now, with “Let Ha Go,” Ddot levels up to the heights.

Wande Coal shares new ‘Let Them Know’ single and visuals

Nigerian recording artist and Afrobeats star Wande Coal has released a brand new song and music video, “Let Them Know” out today. On the record, Wande sings about keeping his relationship with a love interest under wraps and tells her to do the same.

Earlier this year, Wande tapped Olamide for “Kpe Paso.“ The phrase comes from a Yoruba cultural representation for flex, or to celebrate, in a big way and is tradition to be grand at important events. The record gained press praise from Hypebeast, The Guardian, and OkayAfrica, to name a few. With “Kpe Paso,” Wande announced his forthcoming album Legend Or No Legend due out May 18, 2023.

Wande Coal is one of the few artists that has attained legendary status in Afrobeats with a career which has spanned over a decade, with OkayAfrica dubbing him the ‘best voice in Nigerian pop’.

Olamide returns with ‘Trumpet’ featuring CKay

Nigerian African icon and music executive Olamide returns today with a brand new single ‘Trumpet’ with CKay. The record opens to the sound of ocean waves with CKay and Olamide trading soothing vocals over a mid-tempo beat. Accompanied by a music video with colorful scenes to match the energy of the song, the two sing innuendos to a love interest. Olamide is the head of YBNL Nation, which he’s grown into one of Nigeria’s most influential and respected record labels since founding the imprint more than a decade ago, launching the careers of artists such as Asake, Fireboy DML, Adekunle Gold, and many more.
