Danny Singh dominates 2023 with “Diva”

Danny Singh

New York newcomer Danny Singh returns with his most recent release, Diva! The trendy track follows up his three-part visual experience, “SENSORAMA” which kicked off the new year. Singh’s genre-defying music from Queens, New York, is as much inspired by the streets he calls home. As it is by the adventurous spirit to look and move beyond the city that raised him. Singh’s musical explorations include hip-hop, experimental pop, sensual R&B, cathartic instrumental breakdowns, and intense alternative detours. Danny Singh’s vision is contagious! In fact, when speaking on the significance behind his sizzling single… Danny Singh goes on to say:

“If our love will have us blind, at least we’ll know what’s true. You bring me such joy that’s why I love you.”

Additionally, the raved record is backed by an even more relatable visual. This translates directly to our daily lives because there are always a million different plot lines going on at once. Everyone has their own story and plot line going on at the same time, and this film is meant to portray that idea. The camera pans across Bamboo Garden, catching glimpses of each couple’s personal narrative. Danny and the band are not the focus of the video, but rather the soundtrack to each couple’s lives in the bar. The shot has meaning because the team chose Bamboo Garden for the shoot as “Diva” has reggae overtones and Bamboo Garden is a reggae bar.

“This video is an ode to where I came from and how I grew up. Growing up, my fam and I used to blast reggae tunes, drink shandys and play dominoes and cards to kill time. There’s something special in the atmosphere when we link up and enjoy each other’s time. As time goes on, I tend to miss those wholesome moments a lot more. This video, which was shot at my Uncle’s reggae bar, is an ode to my culture and I hope you all learn a bit more about me after watching it.”

Get familiar with this trailblazing talent. Since stepping into the spotlight, Danny Singh used his musical prowess to make relatable records and to make a change. Don’t believe me?
