Rappa says ‘Trappin In Tha Summer’ studio sessions spawned NHale & Nate Dogg posthumous father & son collab

Rappa is working with two generations of West Coast artists all while working on his new mixtape series.

Last month the Watts native released his Trappin In Tha Summer project, intact with six tracks and guest features from artists such as Santeezy, Dante’ Harris, Whokid Woody and more. Among the collaborations that thrive on the record include Rappa and Nhale’s “Just Like Me.” Not only does the record represent their longstanding creative relationship, it also gave way to one of the most fulfilling collaborations Rappa says he’s ever been apart of.

“Me and NHale have been creating ever since I saw him for the second time at DJ Flipp’s recording studio,” Rappa remarked. “I had met him before one time at a session with Swifty Blue then when I saw him at the recording studio at Dj Flipp’s and he remembered me and we have been locked in since then.”

Asa result of their close-nit relationship, Rappa has managed to orchestrate a multi-generational cut that features NHale and posthumous vocals from his father Nate Dogg.

“I created a song called ‘Hood Money’ which has Nate Dogg on the hook and NHale on the verse,” Rappa explained. “Thats the most recent Nate Dogg song to date, I think I have the previllege to say that I am the only producer in this new generation to have a placement with Nate Dogg and that was made possible my manager and Digital Currensy Ceo Adrian Swish.”
