And is produced by Mr Eazi’s longtime collaborator and fellow Grammy Award winner, Kel-P (known for his work with Wizkid, Future, and Burna Boy).

Morever, recorded between Accra in Ghana and Ouida in Angélique Kidjo’s homeland of Benin, ‘Òròkórò’ is a celebration of afropop and global music. This music showcases the deep connection between these two musical powerhouses. The track is driven by lush guitar arrangements and percussion drums, creating a rich and vibrant sonic landscape. The song, largely performed in their native Yoruba language, masterfully encapsulates the essence of gratitude and divine blessings. With Mr Eazi expressing, “I can’t be quiet about what God has done for me; you can see the love God has shown me.”

Mr Eazi brought a creative vision to life

Furthermore, the accompanying visuals for “Òròkórò” are a true spectacle. Brought to life by filmmaker Thomas Leloup from the French creative collective Minuit/Une. Filmed in the enchanting locales of Paris and Forêt de Fontainebleau. The video seamlessly blends modernity with legacy, offering a visual manifestation of a spiritual musical. In addition, the captivating video weaves a narrative of history and spirituality. It pays tribute to the significant historical site of Angélique Kidjo’s birthplace in Benin. This is a focal point for West African spiritual culture.

However, in this ceremonial spectacle reminiscent of a ritual, Mr Eazi and Angélique Kidjo showcase their artistry in a profound celebration of heritage. The video is heavily influenced by West African traditional religion, with references to feminine warrior power throughout. Mr Eazi embodies the role of a prophet. Sharing his message of thanksgiving, while Angélique Kidjo reigns as a queen symbolizing strength and resilience.

Moreover, the meticulous cinematography employed in the video is akin to a painting, marrying expressionism with a natural aesthetic.
