Nicki Minaj – “Big Foot”
On the heel of Megan Thee Stallion’s supposed diss in “Hiss,” Nicki Minaj dropped a clap-back record towards the Houston rapstress called “Big Foot.” As the menacing trap beat sounds off, Nicki Minaj holds nothing back as she accuses Meg of lying on her deceased mother. Throughout “Big Foot,” Nicki Minaj blasts Meg Thee Stallion for allegedly getting intimate with her ex-best friend’s boyfriend and fabricating details about the night she got shot in the foot by Tory Lanez in July of 2020.
Additionally, Nicki Minaj airs out Megan Thee Stallion for cheating her way to success, rapping, “They got you all them Grammy’s but your flow still a no?!?!!/What a Fiasco, Lupe/Future made you pay/Haha, she wanna PARDI with DaBaby while rubbing on Tory toupe/I guess she needed Moneybaggs for them Trey Songz/She G-Eazy, Carl made her crawl for it.” She also mentions Megan Thee Stallion lying to Gayle King during her interview in April of 2022. “You was lying to the Queen then you went lying to the King/GALE, that 30-year-old tea so stale,” Minaj delivers. Nicki Minaj went on a fiery three day rant via X after she heard Megan rap in Hiss, “These h*es don’t be mad at Megan, these h*es mad at Megan’s Law.”
Don Toliver – “Bandit”
Sliding on the rock-inspired trap beat with confident rhymes, Don Toliver reveals why he really gets underneath certain individuals’ skin. While using his signature melodic, bouncy flow, Don Toliver raps about his charm, money-making mentality, and authenticity. For instance, he spits “Way I slide in that coupe, boy, I keep that b***h hummin’/We done went and rocked this b***h all the way to the summer/Get deep in the pot, get deep like a plumber.” The Cactus Jack signee’s newest record also calls the opps’ bluff. Lyrics like “You n***as ain’t fly, this s**t lookin’ dummy,” bring the narrative home.
Spence Lee – “Foundation”
Spence Lee‘s smooth trap offering “Foundation” is a testament to his hard work and endless dedication. Propped with rhymes about his loyalty, work ethic, and self-confidence, Spence Lee effortlessly glides on the beat and demonstrates his lyrical prowess. Moreover, Spence Lee proves why he’s in a different musical lane than his peers. The song comes with a cinematic music video shot in Vietnam. “Foundation” is driven by Spence Lee’s core values and beliefs.
Similarly, the single reveals why he shows up every day as his best self. He raps, “God and my family is my foundation/I don’t make any moves out of desperation.” The Ear Drummer/88rising artist will be dropping S.H.O.T.T.A sometime next month.
Kevitch, Sara Kawai and SCayos – “Wild Thoughts”
“Wild Thoughts” is a Scayos-produced lofi meets boom-bap cut that demands an ex lover to take responsibility for their actions. Moreover, singer Kevitch uses an ethereal vocality to express that their split was inevitable, crooning, “I wish that you were better, ever/Say nothing about us/How it’s you/A way that I’m mistaken now.” The single is based on a challenge: Do what you do best across three days in three-hour sessions on three separate floors.
GetRichZay – “Convos With The Dead (feat. BabyDrill)“
GetRichZay and BabyDrill‘s spine-chilling trap cut is about standing on business when handling one’s opposing forces. Promising to bring the heat toward the people who pray on their downfall, GetRichZay and BabyDrill detail how they plan on silencing them. Throughout the record, GetRichZay and BabyDrill showcase their story-telling skills while doing a call and response technique. Lyrics like “I tried to kill him but a n***a kept ducking his head/I tried to kill him but a n***a got low/It’s okay I’ma catch him again,” brings the narrative home. “Convos With The Dead” comes on the heels of the pair’s 2023 collaboration “Like Us.”
Lil Crix – “Muppy” (feat. Faze Kaysan and Lil Double 0)”
Lil Crix, Faze Kaysan, and Lil Double 0 challenge their opps to catch them outside in “Muppy.” Over the Faze Kaysan-produced bass-heavy trap beat, Lil Crix describes how he intends to put smack talkers in place, rapping “Walk him down in Louie loafers take s**t down like roller coasters striker got a V12 motor get a n***a whacked while I’m at home that shit a different feeling/6 spots to the face that’s overkill now he look just like krillin.” When Lil Double 0 hops on the track, he rhymes about not trusting most, his prominence, and retaliation methods against the haters. “Mini micro draco shoot 62s this b***h go through a boulder,” he raps. “Had to take the stock off the AR cause it f***ed up my shoulder.” The song is a forewarning toward others who attempt to put them in harm’s way.
