Dame Dash claims Drake vs. Kendrick, as “best battle of all time”

After appearing on The Art Of Dialogue, Hip-Hop mogul and co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records Dame Dash spoke at length about Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s recent feud, declaring it the greatest battle of all time.

The Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar beef was sufficed with verbal jabs, politically correct punchlines, and rewind-worthy verses that caused a moment in Hip-Hop for all listeners’ ears to gravitate toward the competitive back-and-forth. Dash, known for his involvement in the hip-hop industry and sharp insights, declared that Kendrick emerged as the victor in this feud.

One of the things that explicitly places this moment as a pivotal moment in Hip-Hop history was the way that Drake publicly fought a battle in bars after Kendrick Lamar called his title into question. The solemnity of Drake’s and Lamar’s pre-existing relationship added even more layers to an already high-stakes situation. The two had collaborated on numerous tracks in the past, showing mutual respect for each other as lyricists.

“As far as fighting goes, in this moment, Kendrick won,” Dash said. “It’s almost by far now. Last week it was neck and neck. After the last exchange with the pedophile thing and the response and ‘Not Like Us,’ it seems like he’s disrupted Drake’s life.”

Tale Of The Tape

The three main diss tracks were “Family Matters,” “Meet The Grahams,” and “Not Like Us.” Since its release, “Not Like Us” has climbed to the number one spot, while songs like “Euphoria” have reached number three on the top 100.

“Not Like Us” particularly achieved significant commercial success by reaching the number one spot. The feud seems to have significantly impacted both artists, with Kendrick’s response tracks tipping the scales in his favor. Overall, it wasn’t a favorable result on Drake’s end, as the overwhelming majority now declare Kendrick the winner.
