In a recent interview, Australian rapper, Iggy Azalea didn’t bite her tongue when asked how things are going with Playboi Carti. More specifically, she wanted to make it known their attempt at co-parenting has been a failure, due to Playboi Carti. The pair dated from 2018 to 2019, and things seem to have taken a turn for the worse since the birth of their son, Onyx.

This isn’t the first time Iggy Azalea has called out Playboi Carti for being irresponsible and won’t be the last. Just in 2020, she went on an infamous Twitter rant where she exposed Playboi Carti missed his child’s birth to hang out with Lil Uzi Vert. And just last year, she called him out on Twitter for faking like he spends time with his son. It also doesn’t help his case, that he has also never denied these accusations or even put out a statement.
One can hope these allegations aren’t true and hopefully, he didn’t use his child as a prop for his rollout. It makes no sense for Playboi Carti to be an absent father as he doesn’t even take his career seriously. It’s been over three years since he last dropped and he has been teasing his upcoming album, MUSIC for the longest to no prevail.
Despite everything mentioned above, Carti’s career has not taken a hit at all, proving that public perception doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. For one, he’s recently had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the biggest artists in the game right now. From current hip-hop stars like Future and Kanye West, he has even made his way to working pop stars like The Weeknd and Camilla Cabello.
