Released after a 4-year hiatus, this 6-track project gave Toni Romiti the room to grow and tackle more mature subject material. Produced entirely by longtime collaborator, Jay Uncut, this EP is a masterclass on locking in with one producer.

I’m usually picky regarding R&B, but this project features a variety of tracks that delve into themes of love & relationships. Toni Romiti truly delivered a perfectly complex EP about finding love in today’s complicated dating scene. Each song puts a light on the good and bad that come with relationships.

“So my last album I released, I tried to stick to my roots. But I think a love song project from me would be awesome, and I wanna just go for it. I want my art to reflect my life at this point,” Toni Romiti on writing Men Ain’t Sh*t Except Mine

Catch Up With Toni Romiti

With there being a four-year gap since her last release, it’s very apparent that Toni Romiti took the time to let her artistry grow to another level. By allowing herself to experience life naturally, she now has more stories to tell through her music. Now that she’s a mother, she makes it known that she has found solace in motherhood and building a family.

Speaking on what she hopes fans to take away, Toni Romiti explains, “I want my fans to see that I’ve grown as an artist. As a woman. And as a mother.”

Staying true to the theme of family, there are small easter eggs scattered throughout the EP that reinforce the notion she’s all in. Similar to Beyonce and Blue Ivy, Toni Romiti’s baby daughter, Lily makes a featured appearance on “You’re The One.” She even incorporates her boyfriend, Jaecob into the cover art as a symbolic gesture to their fruitful relationship.

As Men Aint Sh*t Except Mine makes its way around the R&B community, this won’t be the last we hear from Toni Romiti. From hooping in a summer baskeftball league and recently going back on tour, there’s no sign she’s slowing down. So stay tuned for what she has in store for 2025.
