Vera returns with second single “Rose Garden”

Vera

Canadian alt-pop/indie rock artist Vera (@middlenameisvera) is back with her second single, Rose Garden,” a powerful follow-up to her debut “Summer Insomniacs,” which recently hit over 1 million streams on Spotify. At just 21, Vera has quickly made a name for herself in the indie scene. The song is a raw, emotionally charged track that takes a slightly grungier tone compared to “Summer Insomniacs.” In Vera’s words, “Rose Garden” is about “loving someone who is always hurting you but convincing yourself that you can fix them.” The track dives into themes of emotional pain and resilience, with metaphoric lyrics about trying to “pull out their thorns” only to be met with recurring heartache. It’s a powerful commentary on relationships that resonate with anyone who has ever tried to heal someone else at their own expense.

TRYZTN and Skip Waiters shine in new single “Superstar,” celebrating love and luxury

TRYZTN (@tryztn) and Skip Waiters (@skipwaiters) connect on the elegant and swanky banger, “Superstar,” which doubles as an ode to showing off their special ladies. Remixd Magazine had the opportunity to speak with TRYZTN about his single.

Born and raised in Toronto, TRYZTN aims to make music for women and the lover boys. Specifically, his objective is to make “vulnerable shit fly.” Moreover, the R&B artist is inspired by legends of the genre, including but not limited to D’angelo, Musiq Soulchild, Jodeci, Boyz II Men, Luther Vandross, Miguel, and The Weeknd.

Interestingly, TRYZTN’s artist name is a rework of his given name, Trystan, which he replaced with a “Z.” He shares the inspiration, stating, “The “Z” came from Zorro being my favourite movie growing up. I always loved how he would mark places he’d been with a “Z,” so I added it to my name, and plan on leaving my mark here as well.”

“Superstar”

On October 3rd, TRYZTN unveiled the Skip Waiters featured single “Superstar.” The feel-good record takes listeners on a journey with the artists as they celebrate their special girls.

Furthermore, the single is a bouncy banger that features TRYZTN’s sleek vocals over majestic speaker-shaking production. In addition, Skip Waiters adds fiery energy as he flows effortlessly with his braggadocios verse.

With elegant production and glossy vocals, “Superstar” captures the spirit of fun and classy romance.

“This song feels like something that you should enjoy with someone you got lil crush on.” TRYZTN shares.

When asked about the inspiration of the single, the singer states “It was inspired by a trip I took this summer. We were in a studio in Atlanta talking about the experience of bringing a lovely lady with you on vacation, wining, dining, spoiling and showing her off. Having her be your lil superstar for the time that y’all are there.”

Currently, TRYZTN is working on the finishing touches of an EP expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2025.
