BIG30 releases deluxe version of ‘Still King’

BIG30 refuses to allow himself to be written off with the release of the deluxe edition of ‘Still King.’ How many artists can say they’ve been selected to be an XXL Freshman and have their debut chart Top-15 on Billboard? This Memphis native truly makes his presence felt with his latest project.

BIG30’s Impact

Before Glorilla entered the picture and began her reign, there really wasn’t anyone prominently representing Memphis other than Young Dolph. But with the help of Moneybagg Yo and Pooh Shiesty, bc they ignited a youth rap resurgence within Memphis. BIG30’s new project is a reminder that the same artist we originally fell in love with, still exists.

Originally, the first version of ‘Still King’ hit the streets around May and the deluxe just enhances that listening experience. Typically, most artists lose touch with their original sound in pursuit of chasing mainstream dreams. That’s not the case at all for ‘Still King,’ as BIG30 fully commits to his iconic “effortless flow.” With every track, BIG30 brings a certain energy that gives life to the sinister production.

The 25-song album has a versatile guest list, featuring collabs from artists like K Carbon, Fredo Bang, and Lil Gotit. Without a doubt, the song that has the most replay value has to be ‘Slimes And Choppa Gang’ featuring Lil Gotit. Unbeknownst to everyone, this unlikely pair makes it work despite their different styles, adding a unique dynamic to the project.

In this day in age of short-lived music careers, it’s not an everyday occurrence to see an artist not flame out and make it to their third album. That third album can be make-or-break for a lot of artists, but it’s somewhat poetic how BIG30 rises to the challenge on ‘Still King.’
