Dexter Kelly details a late-night romance on new song “3AM”

Los Angeles-based artist Dexter Kelly (@dexterkellyy) is delivering the R&B vocals on his latest track, “3AM.” It’s a sensual track that details a late-night romance. “3AM” is a prime example of Dexter’s storytelling. The track captures the magic of the rendezvous, inspired by a real connection from Dexter’s past.

“It’s about admiring this beautiful woman and the feelings we had toward each other in the moment,” he tells Remixd Magazine of the track. Through seductive lyrics, Dexter paints an intimate portrait of love and desire. “Past experiences with women inspire me to create songs like this that I hope others can relate to.”

Describing his sound as eclectic, Dexter says he draws from a diverse array of musical influences. Moreover, he blends elements from artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Michael Jackson, and Stevie Wonder. This range allows him to craft music that resonates with audiences across genres. “I draw from past experiences and emotions to craft my lyrics and create these stories through my art,” Dexter explains.

Dexter’s passion for music stems from his ability to connect and heal. “Whether on a deeper emotional level or empowering people to feel good about themselves, I believe sharing music is a beautiful gift I can give to the world,” he reflects. His ultimate goal? To make art that heals.

Looking ahead, Dexter is gearing up for a big 2024. Fans can expect a new single at the top of the year, followed by an EP around Valentine’s Day. “This project was inspired by the women I’ve encountered in my life,” Dexter shares.

Mozzy & Kalan.FrFr- ‘Lucky Her’ (Album) 

Frequent collaborators, Mozzy and Kalan.FrFr, join forces yet again for their latest album, Lucky Her. The west coast duo link back up for a 10 song full length project. This album is the home of two previously released singles such as “whole 100” and “No Love.” Additionally, the pair recruit Skilla Baby and Shordie Shordie as features for this release.

ShaBabii- ‘Shaaheem (A Lu Bit More)’ (Album)

Chicago’s own, ShaBabii shares Shaaheem (A Lu Bit More). The project serves as a deluxe version to his November release, Shaaheem. This version includes two additional songs bringing the total to 20 songs overall. Additionally, the project is lead by his now viral TikTok hit single, “Viking” which he shared a music video for earlier this month. 

Boldy James- ‘Hidden In Plain Sight’ (Album)

Detroit heavyweight, Boldy James delivers his final project of the year, Hidden In Plain Sight. The seven song project is a collaborative piece with the producer, WhoTheHellIsCarlo. Additionally, this project includes features from Styles P, Conway The Machine,King Hendricks, and Zelooperz. Known for his consistency, this project is one of four released by Boldy this year including The Bricktionary, Plenty of Leadership, and Across The Tracks. 

G Herbo- ‘Greatest Rapper Alive’ (Mixtape) 

G Herbo closes out the year with his latest Mixtape, Greatest Rapper Alive. This marks a brief return for G Herbo as he has released three projects prior to this release all this year. The project is loaded with 16 new songs all produced by Oz on the Track. Furthermore, this project has been exclusively released via his app. 

SZA– “Drive

As fans continue to anticipate the release of SZA’s Lana album, she delivers her latest single “Drive” in the meantime. The single comes alongside a trippy music visual which features acting from Ben Stiller. As usual, SZA delivers smooth stacked vocals throughout the love themed record.

Gunna- “Got Damn”

Gunna demands his respect in latest single “Got Damn.”Aviator Keyz, Bloublood, J Kari, and Timpani Beatz. Throughout the single, Gunna exercises his traditional melodic flow. Initially, Gunna teased the single in the music video for his single “Him All Along.”

Rob49- “On Sight”

Rob49 shares high highly anticipated single, “On Sight.” The just under two minute single showcases Rob’s high energy and quicker paced flow. Keeping it traditional, Rob49 dives into his interest for women like tons of his recent singles. Additionally, the song comes ahead of the release of his upcoming album. 

Tee Grizzley Ft Flo Milli- “Diana” 

Tee Grizzley links up with Flo Mili for “Diana.”  The melodic duet styled song includes Tee and Flo matching each other’s flow seamlessly. The single serves as a new anthem for the ladies. 

IDK- “Flow”

IDK delivers smooth bars in latest single “Flow.” In is true fashion, IDK flows over a jazzy instrumental showcasing his clever wordplay. Moreover, he is seemingly ready to usher in a new era. His latest project, BRAVADO+ INTiMO released this past November. 

Sleepy Hallow shares latest LP “Read This When You Wake Up” alongside “She Like (Fashion)” visual

Brooklyn’s own Sleepy Hallow returns with his latest offering Read This When You Wake Up. The album arrives just a year after his previous project Boy Meets World in 2023. Noticeably, Sleepy has been teasing the release of this project throughout the course of the year. This month, Sleepy clocks in just in time before the end of the year.

Furthermore, Sleepy delivers a loaded 20 song LP. For this release, Sleepy Hallow recruits tons of heavy hitters throughout the project. The project includes features from Babyface Ray, Gray Hawken, Jay Breezy, B.B Sofia, and frequent collaborator, Sheff G. The LP is lead by previously released singes such as “Mmm,” “Winners in Paris,” “Upgrade My Life,” as well as “All Mine” which all paired with visuals. Additionally, Sleepy shared a new visual for the single “She Like (Fashion)” during the projects release date.

Moreover, Sleepy goes into full mysterious mode with the release of the music video for the single “She Like (Fashion).” Throughout the visual, he adds on to his nighttime aesthetic and is seen with a stylish love interest. He admires her from afar throughout the video, especially her taste in fashion. Further along, she wakes up after dreaming about him while discovering his chain he placed on her bed. Nonetheless, Sleepy remains mysterious while highlighting her as the video’s subject matter.

Overall, Sleepy further solidifies his presence in the drill rap scene with the album Read This When You Wake Up. The album showcases his signature nonchalant flow and delivery, while also pushing the boundaries. Furthermore, Sleepy adds his own unique style to it all. Mozzy and Kalan.FrFr link up for new album, “Lucky Her”

Mozzy and Kalan.FrFr reignite their chemistry with the release of their joint album, Lucky Her. Ending the year with a bang, the project comes following much anticipation. Both Mozzy and Kalan.FrFr have already had quite the year in 2024. This past May, Kalan.FrFr released his project Make The West Great Again. Additionally, Mozzy shared his project Brash Dummies this past August. This month, they combine their efforts to deliver the ultimate West Coast project.

Lucky Her punches in at 10 singles. The project is humbly loaded with features from Skilla Baby, Shordie Shordie, and Rob49. Earlier this week, the duo shared the album’s first single “BBL” featuring Rob49. The single is accompanied by the release of a fun filled music video. Throughout the visual, you can catch the trio flexing their cars and money in a car meet setting. The visual is also staring the model, India Love, who is also the album’s cover model.

Mozzy and Kalan.FrFr make quite the duo

Moreover, Mozzy and Kalan.FrFr’s collaborative efforts extend back several years. In 2021, The two teamed up on the single “Whole 100” in 2021. The song was featured on Mozzy’s acclaimed project, Untreated Trauma. The song accumulated over a million streams alongside 3 million views on the song’s official visual. That same year, they released the single “No Love” which is featured on Kalan.FrFr’s project TwoFr 2. Although they have teamed up many times over the years, Lucky Her signifies their first joint project.

Furthermore, Mozzy and Kalan.FrFr exercise collaboration seamlessly. The album showcases the blend between Mozzy’s storytelling lyricism and Kalan’s melodic delivery.
