HoodTrophy Bino

Los Angeles’ own, HoodTrophy Bino has been taking the music scene by storm for quite some time now. It is safe to say he’s having quite the year so far. HoodTrophy Bino is a Los Angeles-based rapper whose music reflects his journey of resilience and triumph. Growing up in a large family with a single mother, he split his childhood between Palmdale, California, and the gritty streets of South Central LA. Immersed in gang culture from an early age, Bino turned to music as a powerful escape and means of self-expression. A pivotal moment in his life came during a stint in jail, where he crossed paths with Soulja Boy. An encounter that ultimately led to him signing with Soulja Boy’s S.O.D.M.G. label.

In January, he shared his latest project, Chosen Few which included popular singles such as “Chosen Few,” “Hooded Up” featuring Bravo The Bag Chaser,” and “Are You Ready.” In February, he unleashed the single “Baby” on Valentine’s Day. This month, he returns with the single “Broke Boy.” For this release, he teams up with Soulja Boy, whom has been a frequent collaborator of his over the years.

Moreover, the single “Broke Boy” debuts as the first track from HoodTrophy Bino and Soulja Boy’s upcoming EP. The single “Broke Boy” glorifies the riches of both artists. The song’s hook contrasts to their expensive lifestyle as Soulja Boy calls out a “Broke Boy.” Both Soulja Boy and HoodTrophy Bino take turns going bar for bar throughout the song while matching each others high energy and more aggressive delivery. Furthermore, the song’s theme remains consistent and straight to the point.
