New Music Friday: The best new music this week, featuring Lil Durk, Anycia, Keri Hilson, and more

March has been packed with hot new music releases, and as the month comes to a close, Remixd Magazine is back with our weekly roundup of the best new tracks. This week brings highly anticipated releases and surprise collaborations from some of your favorite artists. Keep reading for this week’s top music picks.

New Music Friday Picks 

Lil Durk- ‘Deep Thoughts’ (Album) 

After much anticipation and several delays, Lil Durk has finally released his latest album, Deep Thoughts. The project drops just a week after his single, “Can’t Hide It,” featuring Jhené Aiko. It also includes previously released tracks like “Monitoring Me” and “Turn Up A Notch.” *Deep Thoughts* consists of 17 songs and features collaborations with artists such as Lil Baby, Future, Hunxho, and Jhené Aiko. Despite his current legal battle, Lil Durk delivers his first project in two years as promised.

BabyFxce E- “M Block” (Album) 

Michigan’s own BabyFxce E has just released his latest mixtape, M Block. This new project features 13 fresh singles and collaborations with artists like Mello Buckzz, YN Jay, VonOff1700, Raq Baby, and Monaleo, who joins him on the lead single, the “PTP” remix. The mixtape arrives just months after his Real Striker Music tape, which debuted last November.

Wiz Khalifa & Gunna- “5 Star” 

Ahead of the release of his upcoming album Kush + Orange Juice 2, Wiz Khalifa shares his latest track, “5 Star.” The song further showcases Wiz’s romantic side as he vocalizes his admiration for his partner. For this single, he teams up with Gunna, who adds his melodic vocals over the catchy hook.

Ari Lennox- “Soft Girl Era” 

Ari Lennox embraces her femininity with “Soft Girl Era,” a track that reflects her readiness to step into and enjoy the finer things in life. Produced by legendary producers Jermaine Dupri and Bryan Michael Cox, the song blends late ’90s nostalgia with a modern twist. To make the release even more special, Ari dropped the track on her 34th birthday.

Keri Hilson- “Bae”

After a 15-year hiatus, Keri Hilson has officially made her return with her latest single, “Bae.” In the song, she expresses her deep affection for a lover while also showing appreciation for her partner’s constant affirmations. The track samples Hurricane Chris’s 2007 smash hit, “A Bay Bay.” Additionally, “Bae” serves as the lead single from her upcoming album, We Need to Talk, set to release on April 18th.

Anycia Featuring GloRilla & Karrahbooo- “Never Need”

Anycia has teamed up with frequent collaborator Karrahbooo and GloRilla for their new single, “Never Need.” The track celebrates independence and embracing life outside of a relationship. It samples Kia’s 2001 hit, “Can’t Trust No Ni**az,” and is narrated by DJ Drama. Dropping just in time for summer, the single is poised to become the ultimate anthem for single ladies everywhere.

GT Featuring Big Sean- “FTW” 

GT links up with Big Sean for “FTW.” Throughout the single, GT remains unbothered amongst any opposition. He takes on relatability highlighting his upbringing in comparison to his current life of wealth. Big Sean turns it up a notch with his upbeat delivery. Nonetheless, the Detroit duo deliver a solid everyday anthem. 

Tre Loaded- “Steppin” 

Memphis’s own, Tre Loaded turns all the way up on “Steppin.” Throughout the single, Tre flexes his riches all while giving listens subtle advice on spending. Moreover, Tre displays full confidence throughout his quick punchline styled delivery.
