Flavor Flav salutes Snoop Dogg, champions women’s sports, & eyes 2028 olympics while giving Raising Canes his Patented Energy

Flavor-Flav

Flavor Flav might be best known for his bedazzled clocks and high-energy “YEAHHH BOY,” catch-phrase but lately, the Hip-Hop legend has been wearing many hats—and not just his signature Viking helmet.

From shouting out Snoop Dogg’s Olympic takeover to joining forces with Raising Cane’s in support of the Women’s Sports Foundation, Flav is using his time in the spotlight to uplift others.

During a recent interview, Flav reflected on the 2024 Paris Olympic Games where his longtime friend and fellow rap icon Snoop Dogg served as a cultural correspondent for NBC. Though the two didn’t meet in person on the ground, Flav confirmed they shared a FaceTime moment during the games.

“I never even physically saw Snoop over there, you know, but we did FaceTime with each other though,” he said, smiling. “They couldn’t pick no better ambassador for rap music than Snoop, man. Snoop really did a beautiful job over there. He did his thing. He was everywhere.”

With Snoop having received an exclusive NBC Olympic pin during his coverage, Flav admitted he’s still on the hunt for his own. “I never got my pin. I still want one though,” he said. “But I’m proud of him because my boy got to carry the torch.”

Flav’s pride extends beyond the mic. Inspired by the energy of the games, he revealed his own Olympic dream—this time with Los Angeles on the horizon. “2028, when the Olympics come to LA, your boy Flavor Flav gets to be a torchbearer,” he declared, placing his hand over his heart.

This Olympic spirit aligns with his most recent campaign with Raising Cane’s. The fast-growing restaurant chain tapped Flav to star in their latest nationwide rollout, positioning him as the voice of flavor and speed. The campaign celebrates both his larger-than-life persona and his commitment to giving back.

“Cane’s is full of flavor,” said Flav. “They’ve got a unique taste and when you bite into the Chicken Fingers, your taste buds explode.”

In a standout moment from the campaign launch, Flav teamed up with 18-time Paralympic gold medalist Jessica Long, gifting her one of his custom clock necklaces. These limited-edition Raising Cane’s X Flavor Flav clocks were designed by Rock N Stonez and sold with net proceeds benefiting the Women’s Sports Foundation.

“Giving back is always important. I get a lot of love, but that’s because I gave love first,” Flav said. “I’m so proud of Jessica and everything she’s achieved. She’s the GOAT.”

A father to four daughters, Flav spoke passionately about his advocacy for women in sports. “I want women to be recognized for all the good they’re doing,” he said. “I want people to remember them after the game. Women are just as important as any other athlete.”

Flav’s Olympic experience in Paris also included supporting the U.S. Women’s Water Polo team and attending gymnastics events featuring stars like Jordan Chiles and Simone Biles. One of his proudest moments came when members of the Women’s Rugby team met him after their bronze medal win.

“I had my family with me and some of the most exciting moments were seeing my family enjoy Paris and going to the floor exercises,” he recalled. “It was also the day I got to meet Billie Jean King.”

As he serves chicken fingers at Cane’s and inspires Olympic dreams back home, Flavor Flav continues to show that time—his lifelong symbol—is best spent lifting others. Whether it’s torchbearing in LA or clocking in for women’s sports, he’s right on time.
