Columbia Records signee 24kGoldn and Iann Dior’s collab single “Mood” hit the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart today.
The song’s summery, rock-tinged instrumental pairs seamlessly with 24kGoldn’s carefree yet infectious hook. “Why you always in a mood, f****ing ‘round acting brand new, I ain’t tryna tell you what to do,” he sings.
Iann Dior’s accompanying verse is equally as electrifying and draws heavily from his emo-pop influences. The Texas native croons about his inability to maintain relationships with the women in his life singing, “I could never get attached, When I start to feel, I unattach, Somehow I always end up feeling bad.”
Dior and Goldn’s collaboration helped build hype for Internet Money’s first album B4 The Storm, a collection of 17 songs featuring rising star signees like Dior and Lil Tecca as well as rap heavyweights like Gunna, Trippie Redd, Future, and many others.
