Artists to watch: SK1NANDBONEZ is next up from Long Beach

The Delta Way 2 is out now on all platforms!

Plainly put, SK1NANDBONEZ is somebody you’ll want to keep on your radar. Growing up in North Long Beach, the west coast native pulls inspiration from his surroundings to tell the stories that fans hear in his music. His debut album ‘The Delta Way,’ released in 2019, showcases his versatility and talents as a melodic rapper. Music is his passion and SK1NANDBONEZ grew up listening to a lot of oldies, R&B, and rap icons such as Tupac, Scarface, and Biggie. While his introduction to the music industry initially came from doing a freestyle to Tyga’s song “Taste,” going viral on Twitter, he gained support and earned the positive feedback that ultimately pushed him to start taking music seriously. With a style of sound that can be described as melodic rap, SK1NANDBONEZ pushes the boundaries of his music and delivers something new and unique every time.

Some of SK1NANDBONEZ’s future endeavors include helping as many people as he can and providing resources for children and families to pursue their dreams. He wants to do this by opening a private arts school for inner city youth whose families face financial hardships. Last but not least, SK1NANDBONEZ has plans to want to open a rehabilitation/homeless shelter that provides resources and opportunities for people to live better lives. It’s clear that SK1NANDBONEZ has a larger vision for his musical career and the impact that he wants to make on the world is grand.

Through his music, he hopes that people take away the message of knowing that “It’s always gone get worse before it gets better.” He’s aware that life comes with its ups and downs, but he wants his music to inspire people and prove that hard work and dedication can build long-term success.

Keep reading to hear more about how SK1NANDBONEZ got his start in music as well has some of his goals for the future. Be sure to also stream The Delta Way 2 below!

What were you doing before music?
Working, I’ve had over 1000 jobs but I’m one of those people if I don’t like what I’m doing then I’m not gonna do it.

Who are some of your main musical influences?

Mary J Blige, Donnel Jones, DMX, Pac and Big — just to name a few.

What are some of your music career goals for the future?

As far as my music career, my only goal is to become as big as I can get and help out as many people as I could because it’s so much money out here and if people had the proper resources they needed to further themselves, then life would probably wouldn’t be as hard. I want to open up a private arts school for kids in the city whose parents can’t afford a higher education and really teach them the stuff they really need in life. I also want to open up like a rehabilitation/homeless shelter with a therapist for them to talk to and really help the homeless veterans, people with disabilities, and kids who ran away from home because of abuse with their living situation. Create jobs for them and get them the resources they need for a better life. Besides make sure my family straight — that’s what I really want to do

What are some projects you’ve done in the past that you are most proud of and why? List them out and explain WHY they are meaningful to you.

Both The Delta Way and The Delta Way 2 because they’re my first projects and it’s all me. Kalan.FrFr is featured on both projects but other than that it’s all me and just trying things and figuring myself out as an artist. I hear the growth and I know I’m only going to keep getting better.

What’s next for you? Are you working on any upcoming projects we should be on the lookout for? Include some dates if you have them.

I’m going to drop some more visuals from The Delta Way 2 with my brother Chukey Films. “Make It Home” featuring Kalan.FrFr is out now. I’m not working on any projects right now. I could drop 4 projects tomorrow if I wanted to because I have music stacked up but really I just wanna put out some singles and more visuals so I can get seen more.

What message do you hope fans take away from your music?

It always gets better … it’s gone get worst before it gets better though so you have to take those punches and thug it out. If you see yourself there, you can get there so don’t ever let anybody stray you away from your dreams or what you wanna do.
