Remixd Magazine’s best new songs this week contain certified records that prove why others are in a different lane than most. From Drake‘s “Push Ups” to Ty2Fly‘s “I’m Here,” our picks help listeners with asserting their dominance.

Drake – “Push Ups”
On the heels of his diss song toward Kendrick Lamar, Future, Metro Boomin, Rick Ross, and The Weeknd being leaked last weekend, Drake has officially released “Push Ups.” The aggressive Boi-1da-produced trap offering ultimately finds The Boy throwing shots at K-Dot’s shoe size and take on the “Big 3,” Metro’s producing skills, The Weeknd and Future’s switch-up toward him, and Rick Ross earning musical accolades because he’s featured on every record. In “Push Ups,” Drake also includes a clip of DJ Akademiks saying, “What top five you smokin’ on, Kendrick?” which further insinuates that no rapper can beat Drake’s lyrical prowess.
The highly-anticipated record comes after Drake and Rick Ross threw shots at each other online this week. Rick Ross came at Drake for allegedly getting a BBL and a nose job. The Maybach Music rhymer followed his taunts with a diss track of his own called “Champagne Moments.” Drake, on the other hand, blasted Rozay for having a smaller mansion than him and much more.
Poiison and Styles P – “Big Boys”
Poiison creates an anthem for the women who don’t have a male figure in their lives via “Big Boys.” Over the melancholic trap beat, the Queens rapstress delivers impactful rhymes in a storytelling cadence. Lyrically, Poiison speaks about having her heart broken by a man who didn’t deserve her love, to begin with.
From there, the rapstress speaks about not getting the proper information regarding finding the ideal partner. She delivers, “I held that n***a down yeah ten toes/I’m moving around making it go go/Never had nobody tell me how this s**t go/Had to learn on my own/Had to get cold.” She concludes that she never loved a real man. Based on their attitude and behaviors, these so-called “men” are big boys.
When Styles P spits on the mic, he drops some words of advice. The LOX rapper says that women should go for a man who will treat them like a queen. He also reminds women about their high worth, spitting “Know that you a queen and a princess.”
ASTN – “Soul, Body, and Mind”
ASTN expresses that he wants to take time to learn his lover’s “Soul, Body, and Mind” in his new alternative R&B single. While delivering introspective lyrics, ASTN uses a honeyed register to reveal that he wasn’t always ready to settle down. He sings, “I’m not afraid to admit it/Used to be afraid to be committed/’Cause when I turn the lights on lights on/Was never with the right one right one.” As the song continues, ASTN makes it known that he’s fallen for this sweetheart. He creates an atmosphere for his love interest to be comfortable in, crooning, “No s**t ain’t been the same since I been in it/We can do it with the lights on lights on.” ASTN’s new single is a highlight off his forthcoming EP, What A Night To Be In Love.
Ty2Fly – “I’m Here”
Ty2Fly’s “I’m Here” reminds listeners that he lived a luxurious life way before others did. Using a vigorous, auto-tune flow, the Florida rapper suggests that he’s the one who raised the bar in the rap game. The hyper-pop meets hip-hop offering also contains some flex-worthy rhymes, permeating undeniable confidence. “Last time I checked/I done made it way bigger/I’m prevalent,” he raps. N***as thinkin’ it’s a competition/But the competition I’m better than.”
Ty2Fly also calls out the people discrediting him for all the work he’s put into the hip-hop industry. Lyrics like “Someone tell me why/Every time that I look up in the sky/See myself I’m a star/I’m finna shine/Heard he got his hand out/I’m going blind” bring the narrative home.
Bailey Snow – “Pink Diamonds”
Delivering braggadocio rhymes about his ice and more, Bailey Snow’s spacey trap offering “Pink Diamonds” finds the rapper discussing how he ascended. Moreover, the “5150” hitmaker reminds others that he’s HIM. “All my life I wanted millions I ain’t never wanna be no bum; all my life I wanted a bustdown like where the f**k did I get that from?” Bailey Snow raps. Throughout the song, Bailey Snow speaks about his big bank account as well. “Hundreds in my pockets, I got a backpack full of bud,” he spits. Flow-wise, Bailey Snow drops his raps off in an auto-tune cadence.
9lives – “CANADA (feat. jnhygs)”
9lives and jnhygs’ “CANADA” is about being so above the hate that it doesn’t phase you. Over the 9lives-produced
hyper pop meets trap offering, jnhygs rhymes about maintaining a care-free attitude even when others are praying on his downfall. By not giving in to the negativity, jnhygs comes out even stronger. He raps, “N***as talkin to me like they f***ing knew me/N**as say they playin but it aint no f***ing b*****it/Catching n***as creepin’ down with that f***ing hoochie/Uhh n***a you down/B**h I’m up/I’m f***king gucci.” As the song continues, jnhygs uses introspective lyrics to explain why he escapes through vices. One notable line goes, “I’m so high off the f***in’ meds, hide the f***in’ meds/I can’t get up out the bed/I’m so high in my f***ing head.”
RememberSB, ProfitEli, and Rokkstar – “Blizzard”
RememberSB, ProfitEli, and Rokkstar reaffirm that they’re “the hottest to come out a blizzard” in their newest bass-heavy, energetic trap single. Without missing a beat, RememberSB uses an effortless flow as he calls out the people who hype themselves up. Amid lyrically annihilating his competitors, RememberSB raps, “Get words of advice if his neph get a feat/Care less if I kill em’/They summoned the reaper/My custom SB’s match/My customized sneakers/I send em’ flows guarantee dey gon leak em.'”
Throughout his verse, RememberSB also shows others that he’s business-oriented, asserting that nothing can stop him from losing focus.
When ProfitEli hops on the mic, he matches the song’s energy, implying that he is “dashing through dividends.” In his verse, ProfitEli uses a melodic flow, shows support for the Palestinians in Gaza, and details why he stands out from other rappers in the game. He even takes a moment to throw a lyrical jab at Time2Grind Radio, rhyming, “Radio stations just wanna play my streams/F**k Time2Grind/They just got some cold feet.”
Meanwhile, Rokkstar makes it known that he’s been real from the jump. His passionate flow also contains bars about his excellence, settling the score with haters, and staying money-oriented. “We on the court we like Shaq and Kareem/Don’t call my phone if it ain’t about cream,” he raps.
