Read our selections below:

IDK – “TiFFANY (feat. Gunna)”

IDK reaffirms that he’s been “snapping since the twenty-tens” in his new laid-back trap cut “TiFFANY (feat. Gunna).” As the beat goes off, the Maryland rhymer expresses how he goes for what he wants. By having a relentless determination, .idk has attained all-around success. Rhymes like “Knock down the door they ain’t let me in (let me in)/I’m the type that I gotta win (gotta win)/I’m the type that could never lose (never lose)” bring the narrative home. The single also highlights the two rappers’ lavish lifestyles, how they’re “so fly I got everyone shocked,” and their ways with women.

When Gunna hops on the beat, he mirrors .idk’s optimistic lyricism with raps about his riches, glitz, and glamour. For instance, he spits, “I got on Celine Balenciaga/it came with a crop on the top/I flew overseas/I’m shopping just cause.”

$NOT – “Hilarious (feat. Cochise)”

$NOT and Cochise come together to deliver a slew of flex-heavy rhymes on the revved-up trap offering “Hilarious.” Amidst putting the opps in their place, $NOT makes it clear that he wants all the smoke. At the same time, the animated melodic rhymer isn’t phased because he’s in a different lane. “I’m off a couple drugs, put you in that Cybertruck/Smokin’ angel dust, these n****s cannot f*ck with us,” he raps. “Diamonds on my wrist, that sh*t just look like emo cuts / These n****s talkin’ all that sh*t, you know I give no f*cks.” When $NOT hops on the beat, he mirrors Cochise’s energy as he rhymes about getting back at the haters, putting in the work to succeed, and much more. “Hilarious” is the latest single off of $NOT’s new album Viceroy, which drops this summer via 300 Entertainment.

Polo Perks <3 <3 <3 – “ROCKBAND TEES 08 DENIMS feat. Current Joys)

Polo Perks <3 <3 <3 raps about others who attempt to jack his style on the warm and energetic trap cut “ROCKBAND TEES 08 DENIMS.” Sampling Current Joys’ single “New Flash,” the song finds Polo Perks <3 <3 <3 calling out the people who refuse to be original. While highlighting his authenticity, Polo Perks <3 <3 <3 puts others to the test. Moreover, he challenges these individuals to prove how they stand out from the rest. In the rest of “ROCKBAND TEES 08 DENIMS,” Polo Perks <3 <3 <3 makes it clear that he could never be cool with his opps before dropping flex-worthy rhymes. “ROCKBAND TEES 08 DENIMS” can be found on Polo Perks <3 <3 <3, FearDorian, and AyooLii’s new album  A Dog’s Chance, with a feature from Teen Suicide and Current Joys.

PARIS. – “Take the Lead (feat. Roy Woods)”

PARIS. enjoys the pace of his relationship and finds himself head over heels for this special lady via “Take the Lead (feat. Roy Woods).” Over the guitar-kissed R&B trap beat, the rising hip-hop musician expresses why he adores his woman. “Pretty, she curvy and tatted/She got a face like an actress/All natural don’t do the plastic,” he delivers in a melodic flow. “I’m not gon’ stress her out treat that lil’ b**ch like elastic/Said she do lashes, damn, damn.” From there, PARIS. alludes that he’d rather chill together than prowl the town. Following this, Roy Woods touches on his desire for his better half. He also speaks about sweeping her off her feet.

Oluminde – “New Keys”

Oluminde has all eyes on him after cruising around in his luxotic whip via “New Keys.” Over the bass-heavy Dizzee Beats-produced trap offering, the East Coast rapper starts by complimenting a beauty before dropping suggestive rhymes about not being ready to settle down. By the second verse, Oluminde raps about his lavish lifestyle. “Mirror mirror on the wall damn/I’m still the boss,” he spits. “I got gold up in my teeth, but ain’t no need to floss.” Before the song ends, he affirms that he’s HIM. “I flash the whip she understand/I’m the man,” Oluminde delivers. “Had to take my time to be the boss.”

Chicocurlyhead – “Wasted Weekend”

Serving as a single off his new EP NeverEnding Roadtrip, Chicocurlyhead’s “Wasted Weekend” is about missing someone who’s out of reach. As Chicocurlyhead contemplates on Saturday and Sunday about the one he wants to spin the block for, he can’t help but to think about the good times they once shared. “I remember you pouring one up/I’m staring at the ceiling/I’m picturing your voice,” he sings.

As Chicocurlyhead jumps from Spanish to English lyrics, his outpour of love toward this person becomes intensely clear. Sonically, the production is cemented in a summery tone and combines pop and R&B arrangements. “This song made me realize I still have some healing to do from my past,” Chicocurlyhead said about the single. “There are people I miss that I’ll never get to see again, and this song helped me feel a little more healed.”

Deb Fan – “Closer to Hell”

In the hypnotic alternative R&B single “Closer to Hell,” Deb Fan urges listeners not to pass judgment on others. Similarly, the song challenges people to look at themselves and suggests that we are one and the same. Through her ethereal voice range, Deb Fan sings, “You can never tell/We don’t know who’s closer to hell/Let the judgment ring the bells/Tell us who’s in hell.” As “Closer to Hell” continues, Deb Fan touches on society being close-minded to the things that make others unique. Lyrics like “I can’t be me/Pull me out of this world full of give and take/There’s so much I can be/I can’t wait to be bulletproof” accentuate how people immediately frown upon those who stand out.

“In ‘Closer to Hell,’ I reflect on the challenges of abandoning my people-pleaser tendencies and confronting the complexities of human nature,” says Deb. “As humans, we play the moral game of pointing fingers, blaming each other, and hardly taking accountability for our own actions. “‘Closer to Hell'” questions who, if anyone, can truly hold moral superiority?”
