BIGOUTEAST shares his mindset while making “Players Only II”

BIGOUTEAST

BIGOUTEAST is an elite lyricist originally from East Nashville who has made a career out of not limiting his creativity. His new project, “Players Only II” was made for real fans of hip-hop and people trying to improve their way of life. BIGOUTEAST recently touched base with Remixd Magazine to elaborate on his thought process and his overall deeper purpose.

Southern Influences

Now based in Arizona, BIGOUTEAST is being both strategic and intentional in working towards becoming a household name. Even though he’s currently on the West Coast, you can still see the impact that Southern rap had on him. Artists like Lil Wayne and Curren$y laid out the blueprint for him to master the art of having unique wordplay.

As he puts it, “On some rap sh*t, Wayne and Spita are my main musical influences. But I’m also influenced by fashion and regular life type sh*t.”

Born to Create

A wise man once said, “You know you truly love something when you can’t go a day without thinking about it.” That quote perfectly encapsulates the organic relationship BIGOUTEAST has with making music.

“That sh*t is just in me. My first memories involve music and I can’t tell you how I started rapping or why. I got addicted to making my own version of whatever song was out when I was 7. That turned into me writing my own songs really early,” he explains.

You don’t get that level of hunger/aggression from most artists at a young age, and that fire still burns in BIGOUTEAST today. “Players Only II” feels like a fresh start for him as it marks a new chapter of his life. His mature tone will hit the spot for people who have gone through things and came out on top. “I made this project for myself and people like me. I make the kind of music that I want to hear,” he clarifies.

Ultimately, it’s very clear that BIGOUTEAST makes music with such powerful intentions. To follow “Players Only II” up, he plans to follow it up with more music in a similar vein. “I’ll just say we’re getting really consistent in 2024. I have unreleased too, but I’m ready to get to this new work,” he says.

Be sure to follow BIGOUTEAST on all socials, if you want to witness where he takes things next. But most importantly prepare to see his name more often, because he won’t be slowing down.
