Cedric Brazle (pronounced bruh-zil) returns ready to unveil more to his story drops off his new upcoming EP entitled “…What I Know Now”. A continuation of his 2020 debut EP, “If I Knew Then…”, Cedric shows us that he is an artist of candor with a voice and message of transparency.
Brazle reveals there’s more than meets the ear, coining his sound for this era as “contemporary nostalgia”: music that feeds its listeners with the sheen of music that millennials and GenX-ers have grown to love and crave, but with a fresh new twist; separating himself from the moody landscape of R&B today.
The R&B aesthete draws us into his captivating stories of love, anxiety, accountability, overcoming situationships, trauma, and more. With the project’s lead single “Product of Love” [released April 2022], Brazle showcases his vulnerability and details how the lack of parental love in his upbringing has affected his romantic relationships. With his follow-up single, “Rush” [released November 2022], Cedric encourages a love that lives in the moment; because in a world where so many tragedies exist, “time waits for no man.”
“…What I Know Now” chronicles the journey of a millennial man in today’s society searching to find himself in life and love. With production contributions from NeriBeats (Masego, Tone Stith), Justin Wiggins (Jahkoy, Pouya, Savannah Cristina), and
Stevexcooper (Thom, ATO), Cedric explores new and exciting sonic realms, allowing space for powerhouse vocals and stadium-esque production. Intricate harmonies, lightly placed euphemisms, sprawling instruments and honesty at its finest are what make up the threads of Cedric’s new body of work.
