There’s a new girl group in town! They go by the name CRUSH, and are from the city of Chicago, Illinois. The group is composed of five members: Kee Glo, Asavv, MÜSË, Shiy, and Skye. They are getting ready to make the world have a “crush” on them soon as they gear up to release their upcoming song.

“Our sound is fun, trendy and vibe to listen to,” the group told RemixdMag. “Our music sound gives pop, rap, drill, and R&B etc. We love to create relatable music for the people. Whether you’re getting ready to go to brunch, heading to work, or you’re about to hit the club with your friends. We want you to CRUSH playing loud in your speakers rapping and singing word by word. We want you to feel like you’re a boss that lost it all and got it right back. We want our listeners to feel like they’re “that girl” or “that boy” while hearing us.”

CRUSH is an acronym that stands for each of the girls’ names, or “flavors.”
Ke Glo — Cherry, A$avv — Raspberry, MÜSË — Utopia, Shiy — Strawberry, and Skye — Honey.

As they’re gearing up to release their debut single, they want audiences to know they’re coming with the heat. The upcoming song, called “Rep Yo Set” is set to drop on April 14.

“The song is all about repping where you from and what you stand for,” they said. “It’s all about the people in different cities, hoods, and cultures standing up for them, their people, and beliefs.”

The anticipation is high for their very first single. With each girl having different musical influences, ranging from artists such as Keke Sheared, Nicki Minaj, Kodak Black, Lil Kim, Latto, G Herbo, and Juice WRLD — the sounds of this upcoming release will be diverse. And Serving as Chicago’s first girl group, the bar will be set as far as what audiences can expect.

“The project is full of flavor,” CRUSH teased. “It shows versatility from 5 different girls from different walks of life but who share the same dream and struggles.”

“Through our music, we hope our fans take away the concept of never giving up on their dreams, standing up for yourself and the people around you,” they shared. “Never stop believing in themselves, and always chase after what they want. It was so many times we could have given up but God pushed us through and we’re now in this amazing position we’re in today.”
