Singh’s genre-defying music from Queens, New York, is as much inspired by the streets he calls home. As it is by the adventurous spirit to look and move beyond the city that raised him. Singh’s musical explorations include hip-hop, experimental pop, sensual R&B, cathartic instrumental breakdowns, and intense alternative detours. Danny Singh’s vision is contagious! The camera pans across Bamboo Garden, catching glimpses of each couple’s personal narrative. Danny and the band are not the focus of the video, but rather the soundtrack to each couple’s lives in the bar. The shot has meaning because the team chose Bamboo Garden for the shoot as “Diva” has reggae overtones and Bamboo Garden is a reggae bar.
“This video is an ode to where I came from and how I grew up. Growing up, my fam and I used to blast reggae tunes, drink shandys and play dominoes and cards to kill time. There’s something special in the atmosphere when we link up and enjoy each other’s time. As time goes on, I tend to miss those wholesome moments a lot more. This video, which was shot at my Uncle’s reggae bar, is an ode to my culture and I hope you all learn a bit more about me after watching it.”
