With DDG and OGxParker’s joint album Die 4 Respect out now, the duo teased a hard-hitting anthem just before the tape’s release, called “Rule #1” with Lil Yachty, which has a simple yet infectious beat with an ominous piano melody and bouncy 808s that hook the listener in instantly.
However, as explained in an interview with our own Tallie Spencer, DDG’s collab with Yachty is just one of the many high-profile features this album is set to have.
Die 4 Respect has everyone from Coi Leray to Youngboy Never Broke Again. But despite these big features, the Michigan native’s favorite song is the solo track “Treat Me Right,” which speaks on his relationships/love-life.
“It’s like one of those songs where I’m really speaking from the heart…it’s a relationship type of thing that everybody can relate to,” DDG stated.
Die 4 Respect is DDG’s second studio album under Epic Records and with all of the features, production from OGxParker (known for doing tracks like Migos’ “Slippery”), and killer solo tracks, this project is set to cement DDG as one of the premier talents in rap.
