Rising Detroit rapper Lelo (@lelothecorpse) has just shared his new video single “A&G.” Following his standout appearance at Paris Fashion Week, the track is an unapologetic celebration of style and swagger, with a fitting refrain: “I’m too in love with fashion/I’m boujee like my last b–ch.” “A&G” delivers a lux, bouncy vibe filled with razor-sharp one-liners, showcasing Lelo’s signature gritty flow and slick production.
The release comes hot on the heels of his Sade-sampling single “Main Event.” The track also received a co-sign from none other than Earl Sweatshirt, further solidifying Lelo’s rising status in the rap game. Additionally, “A&G” follows a co-sign from Pi’erre Bourne, an On The Radar performance, and a string of impactful releases, including the 20M+ streamed anthem “No Contempt,” the Tokyo-shot “Evangelion,” and “Real Dogshit.”
Lelo’s recent EP When It’s Over has been a triumphant showcase of his trap-infused sound, blending uptempo instrumentals, booming 808s, and dark piano chords that have become synonymous with the new Detroit wave.
