DJ Primetime is back to remind us why he is one of the most revered music figures on the scene.
Returning with the vibey single “Wrong Idea” alongside two of Los Angeles most acclaimed voices on the rise in “Doin’ Me” artist Go Getta KB and Watts sensation Tru Carr, the song is a definite hit.
“It’s about letting people know not to get the wrong idea” he told Remixd Mag on the nature of the song. “It has multiple vibes; chill, party, car vibes” he continued.
Gesticulating what makes this a unique jam to him, he elaborated the fact that he has a guitar playing all through the record. DJ Primetime much like predecessors Mustard, Quincy Jones, Kanye West, and Skateboard P Pharrell, Primetime is renown for his sampling technique and hypnotic style of music that’s signature to the clubs.
On “Wrong Idea” which was teased on the features’ social media pages this past week to resounding responses with fans asking for the record immediately, Primetime taps two charms of artists from the Westside. The song also boasts bushes of R&B and Bay Area candor.
Tru Carr signed to Wack 100’s 100Ent. and eOne from Watts, California does his thing on his verse alliterating his usual street, gritty rhymes with a message, “The type to let her know what it is, so let me make it clear, ain’t accepting none that fake shit, only if it’s pure” he gets off with his Southern-infused accent and wheezy voice. Tru is extremely popular for his viral “Outside” song and trademark fast recited lyrical style.
Meanwhile Go Getta KB does his thing setting the tone for the entire song with his syrupy and infectious cadence on the hook all through. He shone as he brings about a classic mid tempo vibe to the song that will have us rushing to the dancefloor.
It feels like DJ Primetime definitely has one so make sure to catch on and stream the record available now on all platforms.
